You know how much we adore colour around here (you only have to look at The Colour Issue to see after all) so how about we end the week in a kaleidoscope of colour thanks to a dream team of Mornington Peninsula wedding pros?

Set at the vibrant and modern restaurant  Casa De Playa, photographer (and creative mastermind behind the shoot!) Clodagh Jane Photography wanted to create a wedding look that was vibrant fun and colourful, that still holds its own sense of elegant style. She shares  “Whilst many people think of beach and wineries when they think of the Mornington Peninsula, there are really cool venues like Casa De Playa that bring urban vibes to this gorgeous beachside area!”

Clodagh brought together a team of Mornington Peninsula wedding pros to make the vision happen. Our models, Mikayla Stevens and Charlie Di Stefano said their “vows” to a backdrop of the seaside town before they celebrated with a sit-down reception and of course cake.

The scene is set with bright and fun floral details from Studio Zgela Floral Design. Bright pink peonies contrast with blush pink, yellow and cherry red blooms. An oversize bouquet commands attention, and then, for the reception styling under the vision of  Table Bliss Events, becomes a dramatic flair as a garland down the centre of the table. Topped with white linen, the florals combined with lavender and pink taper candles (both from Cloth & Confetti Event), gold and white cutlery (from  Cutlery Hire)  modern glass goblets from Event Merchant Co and right on-trend whimsically modern paper pieces from Lavender Creative Co.

And an ombre wedding cake, like this beauty by Peninsula Cake Art always goes down a treat; this one though, pulls all the colours together, in the ultimate, colourful beauty.

Our models, Mikayla Stevens and Charlie Di Stefano play the ultimate part. Charlie in a classic black suit and black bow tie from Mickey Blue, while Mikayla, her hair and makeup fresh and fun by Michelle O’Connell Stylist, donned two different, and fun mini dresses from local designer Olivia Waters Couture.

And it’s these two dresses that command your attention. The white mini-dress is fun and playful, but the reception dress Mikayla switches into? The one you’re going to want to know all about. Purple, fluffy and full of fun, there is no doubt this deserves its spotlight on the dance floor.
