We adore the relaxed, rustic vibes of this wedding! Held at Bracknell Lodge in Wyreema, Queensland, Sheridan and Tim crafted a day that was perfect for them with help from their venue and all its incredible options, as well as with some good old fashioned DIY. One super special detail to look out for? The inclusion of their beautiful dog, Gilbert, who even joined the wedding party during the ceremony. There on the day, snapping away and capturing this gorgeous wedding on film, was Daniel Neucom.

So before we dive into their wedding, let’s find out how Sheridan and Tim first met. The couple’s amazing celebrant, Rachael Davies, summed it up well at their ceremony by sharing, “Tim and Sheridan met on Tinder. Now we can’t be certain it was love at first swipe. But after chatting for a little while they decided to meet. Tim came to pick Sheridan up for their date … to the Maccas drive thru. He did manage to redeem himself. They chatted for so long that night they pretty much knew each other’s life stories. Tim was a great listener, Sheridan felt comfortable with him and there was no awkward moments.”

When it came time to pop the question, Tim set up a romantic proposal at home. After coming home from her mum’s house on a Sunday, Sheridan noticed their garage was open so she went through it. When she got to the doorway she saw the beginning of a trail that was patched with candles and flower petals everywhere. She followed the path around the house, which also had little notes every so often. “These notes were written by Tim about how much he loves me,” says Sheridan. At the end of the trail the last note was Tim asking her to marry him. “It all led to our bedroom where Tim was down on one knee with the ring in his hands. After we had told our family we went out to dinner to celebrate our engagement.”

On the wedding day, Tim wore a white button up and beige chinos with a beige suit jacket and a tan brown belt and shoes. His attire was purchased from Myer.

Sheridan tried to do as much DIY as possible for the wedding, starting with the invitations.  She found and edited a template online )from Etsy seller EmmyPaperie) which she printed out herself. “Tim and I then did a team effort with putting the invitations together with the details cards and all the little bits to go with it.”

Sheridan’s bouquet was by Yandilla Rose. “The flowers I chose were a mix of whites and some blush to darker pinks with of course some greenery added in as well,” she says. “They were a beautiful selection of flowers that suited my colour scheme.”

Sheridan wore an art deco dress with capped sleeves, lace and beading. It also had detailed train. “The art deco style just spoke to me while choosing my dress style,” says Sheridan. “I came across this dress and when trying the dress on for the first time, I could tell it was the dress for me. It was a very special moment as being a petite person I was amazed the dress I loved fit me perfectly.” Sheridan’s gown was by designer Jack Sullivan and purchased at Brides of Brisbane.

The wedding took place at Bracknell Lodge. The venue covered all bases from the ceremony to the reception and even accommodation for the bride and groom, plus guests who wanted to stay. It was the perfect location for the couple who say Bracknell Lodge was a blank canvas to create their day exactly how they wanted.

The venue provided transportation options for Sheridan’s arrival. Once she saw their beautiful vintage 1927 Dodge, she knew that was how she wanted to arrive.

Sheridan walked down the aisle with her mum and mother-in-law to an acoustic cover version of ‘Wonderwall’ by Ryan Adams.

Tim says the most memorable moment of the day for him was seeing his beautiful wife walking down the aisle.

The couple’s little dog Gilbert was a ‘must-include’ in their wedding. “He is a very special part of our lives and we were lucky enough the venue allowed him to be there (they even have a place for pets to stay in the cottage).”

The couple’s celebrant, Rachael Davies, planned the entire ceremony. “We didn’t really have a particular feeling we were going for, but just to share our story and have it show our love for each other.”

Capturing all the beautiful moments on the day was photographer Daniel Neucom, who is a family friend of Sheridan’s. “He first photographed my sister’s wedding in November 2019,” she says. “After seeing how he was with my sister’s wedding and the end products of the photos he took, I knew that I wanted Dan to photograph my wedding. After getting engaged I reached out to Dan and was lucky enough to book him. Dan was amazing with the whole process; I gave him ideas of the shots I would like and put together a list. On the day it was like he just fit right into what we were doing which made the shots very natural. We couldn’t be happier with how our photos turned out.”

For their wedding party, Sheridan and Tim had a mix of family and friends. Tim’s best man was Zac and his groomsmen were Khy, Arohn and Mitch. Sheridan’s matron of honour was Steph and her bridesmaids were Alexa and Amelia.

Sheridan and Tim were extremely happy with their venue, calling it magical. “From the first meeting we had with Bek at Bracknell Lodge we knew it was the place that we wanted to get married at. She walked us through the property and made us feel very welcome. Once we locked in the venue Bek was always there to help with advise on decorations and ideas to have and do. The venue has lots of props and decorations to choose from and any ideas we wanted they helped come true for us.”

Tim’s mum created the favours, which were mini succulents in pots with handwritten tags.

Sheridan and Tim’s wedding cake was by Sweet Philosophy Toowoomba.

One of the most special things on the day was having their closest family and friends there to help celebrate with them.

Their advice to those planning a wedding right now? Make sure you plan and have your wedding day exactly how you want it to be. “It should only happen once so make sure it is everything you have ever dreamed of.”

A master behind the camera, Daniel Neucom also put together this gorgeous wedding video of Sheridan and Tim’s day.
