Happy Monday Dotties! If the Yellow Issue has shown us anything, it’s that we can use colours in so many new ways bringing a freshness and new vibrancy – just by using different flowers for example, or combining unusual colours and textures, or in new ways (yellow and black, sunflower fields etc). Proving yet again, that if we aren’t constrained by convention something extraordinary will emerge.
In our Polka Dot Directory and our Honeymoon Directory take a look at the many very talented vendors – it will be hard to narrow down your choices. Choose from Suits & Tailors, Accommodation and Catering. We also have Venues, Flowers and Stationery & Paper Goods – and check out our Honeymoon Directory – for services in Australia and overseas.

When I was choosing images to use in this feature, I was drawn time and again to Jacob Gordon Photography’s use of light. Whether it’s the sun on the leaves or surrounding a couple, or the subtle shadows in a black and white image, there is something magical and so emotive about one image telling so much of the story – as the old saying goes “A picture paints a thousand words”.
Although based in WA, Jacob loves to travel, meeting people, and experiencing all that new destinations have to offer through food and good coffee. He’s even lived in Vietnam for a few years capturing weddings there – so if you fancy a trip that centres around your wedding he might just be perfect for you!
Choosing the photographer and cinematographer you really connect with, is probably right up there on your list, because long after the memories of your wedding day are fading, it’s the photographs and the film that will speak to you and remind you of the emotions of your day. And Jacob’s images speak for themselves don’t you think!
