There is a sense of celebration in the air of the wedding industry at the moment, because while the pros are out there cramming and working harder than ever, the point of it all is that we can celebrate, after so many, many months of not.
And this sense of joy, or relief, is exactly what today’s dream team were inspired by. After the exhaustion and sadness of lockdown after lockdown, border closure after border closure, the team wanted to reignite their spark and love for weddings, with a collaboration that was full of joy and most importantly of course, full of inspiration.
The beautiful country setting of Tindarra Resort playing host; and how perfect it was! Set right on the banks of the Murray River with the tones of the Australian bush in the background, it added that relaxed rustic charm that this team needed to bring their look to life. Says Emilly of Tindarra “The theme of the shoot was Spring Garden – however with covid and constant reschedules we weren’t able to release the shoot for Spring, but more for Summer. We also wanted to use both pastel colours and dark moody accents to create drama and intrigue. My favourite is the pops of blue in the florals – seriously incredible!”
Captured by Love by Shae, the clever minds of Event Den planned and styled the shoot which took on a vibe of modern romance, with all the colourful, pretty pastels. Floral designer Daisy Lane Florals brings the look to life with blush, lilac, peach and white floral details. Beautiful hydrangea, ranunculus, roses and tulips amongst the blooms chosen, which bring all the spring and summer vibes.
The scene begins with an open-air chapel from Murray River Events with incredible views over the river. Our happy couple, models Olivia Jade and Jesse Anderson tie the knot under a clear sky, the Australian bush as their backdrop along with a modern neon sign from Leon’s Neons. Olivia’s look classically romantic with a Lily Grace Bridal lace gown (and comfy white sneakers, as an added modern touch) hairstylist Courtney Edgar swept her brunette locks into a soft up-do with equally natural makeup by gb. lane. Jesse donned a dark suit from Worklocker Echuca with, of course, a floral pastel tie.
Having said their vows and made it official, the newlyweds were greeted by a long table under the trees, furniture pieces from Modern Love Style Co topped with pale grey and lilac linens, the table topped with a pale pink table runner.
Southern Lights Candle Co candles and paper pieces from Rose Creative Studios (who also created the modern curved signage). A hand painted floral wedding cake, designed by Bakes by Steph the finishing touch. And then it was time to be whisked off to a brand new life, a vintage beauty from Flash Fairlane Car Services taking the newlyweds on their way.
If this is what it looks like, to bring a sense of hope, of joy and inspiration after so long without it, then let us pull up a chair, we’re all in!
