After meeting on Tinder nearly eight years ago Chelsea and Josh quickly discovered they had brilliant chemistry.  And so today, we join them in the countryside, in the most beautiful garden meets rolling fields setting, with photographer Zweck Photography, deep burgundy tones, complementing the Autumnal hues that Mother Nature put on – right down to the beautiful bouquet of burgundy blooms. Says Chelsea of their theme “We’d describe our day as winery, green, moody skies, bright smiles”.

Josh popped the question while the couple were on holiday in the the Philippines, Chelsea telling the story, “We were in Boracay in the Philippines and it was a hot day. Josh said he needed something from the chemist and I said I’d wait by the pool.. little did I know he was running around crazy busy trying to book somewhere romantic.

Later that evening Josh said he booked us somewhere nice for dinner. I was thinking oh dear, we are backpacking around with 7kg of luggage and I have no makeup or nice clothes for somewhere fancy! I was racing around looking for something nice with no luck!! Josh knew so he had packed nice clothing…
It was time for dinner. We walked in and there were candles all on the ground and we sat under a big romantic arbour thing with flowers and a chandelier. I looked at Josh like “what the heck?” and giggled and he shrugged and we went about our night. It didn’t even cross my mind again. It didn’t take long for Josh to go to the toilet and he was acting weird.. he was so nervous. He came back and I was sitting there looking around in my world and he dropped to one knee and asked me to marry him.

I’m the kind of girl that giggles when she gets nervous so I giggled. I then stopped and said YES!! Everyone in the room stood up and was clapping and cheering.”

Chelsea’s beautiful gown was found at Michele Bridal. She tells “I wore a beautiful long white dress. My dress had a bit of a boho kind of vibe. I had never seen a dress like mine before. I tried so many on before finding this dress. When I saw it, I just knew.”

Chelsea and Josh held their wedding weekend at Lancemore Milawa. Chelsea noted “It was incredible! It was beautiful and green, it has fairy lights outside over the dance floor, it was very well organized.
One thing we loved was that it was a package. It was a one-stop shop when it came to food and drinks and accommodation.”

Chelsea walked down the aisle and in hand with her mum to Rascal Flat’s “Bless the broken road”.

Chelsea had a vision in mind for the ceremony, noting “I wanted there to be shade for everyone due to the time of year and I wanted Josh to be facing the other way until I got to the end of the aisle so I could see his reaction.
I wanted it outdoors, greenery and open.”

Chelsea had her bridesmaids wear deep burgundy gowns. “I had four beautiful ladies! All different sizes and shapes. I had two choose the dress they love and shared it with the other girls. They all loved it. The dress allowed the girls to feel comfortable and be free.” The gowns complementing the native flower-filled bouquets styled by The Flower Girl.

Chelsea has nothing but raves for the couple’s chosen photographer. “Where do I start?!!!! Oh my god. INCREDIBLE!! I have no words for how incredible Sam is. She knew what she was after, knew what to capture, nothing was awkward at all!! All my family still talk about how great she is.”

The couple supplied their guests with old school disposable cameras. “They were the best” tells Chelsea. “It captured so many emotions, dancing, laughing and love.”

Chelsea and Josh chose Harrison Slattery Media to capture their beautiful day in motion.

For their dance floor debut, Chelsea and Josh danced under the stars. “Our song was “Conversations in the Dark” remembers the bride. “It was magical. It makes me emotional thinking about it. It was under a bunch on festoon lights with a sprinkle of rain with live music”. The moment remains one of Chelsea’s favourites of the entire day.

The biggest of congratulations to you both Chelsea and Josh. Thank you for sharing your day with us. Thank you also to Zweck Photography for sharing today’s celebration.
