There is a lot of love in weddings for pink, it is well and truly a solid favourite with its pretty and practically timeless versatility. But today’s editorial brings it into a brand new light. It takes the classic pink and turns it into something modern, something fresh, something glamorous. And on this Wednesday morning? Well, grab a cocktail along with us, because we are well and truly here for it.

Captured by the ever-talented Lauren Olivia and cinematographer Meadow Lane (scroll on for their film) this pretty in the pink editorial was the vision of wedding planner Storybook and Co, an editorial that brought the much-loved shade into 2022. Kirsty, of Storybook & Co, explains “We wanted to create something a little bit different when it came to the norm in weddings, adding a bit of femininity within the florals, gown and a tiny bit of extravagance! Working to refine the stigma and stereotype of what an industrial, city wedding venue may bring to the table, turned fine art.”

It is all centred around the fluffiest, softest, most fairy floss kind of custom-made wedding gown by Aussie designer Begitta –Bridal & Couture. “What better way to do this than with pops of stunning tonal pinks in all forms, including the custom made tulle gown with all the floof!” remarks Kirsty. Model Brooklyn Kelly donning this beauty along with heels from The White Collection. Brooklyn wearing her hair in a soft, low knot styled by Sarah Neill with fresh, glowy makeup by makeup artist  Juliana Cruz. Our “groom” Luke Wynne dressed in two different suits for the shoot from Wil Valor. A soft taupe check and a bright modern blue, both add a sense of modern, but elegant style.

Brisbane venue The Lussh is the perfect venue for this one, it’s a modern industrial setting inside. Outside, the sun shone bright, which to us, means it’s perfect weather for cocktails. Our bartender whipped up tropical drinks behind a floral pink bar with cocktail mixer Mr ConsistentEmunah Events creates beautiful floral details in tones of all the pinks, with peaches and creams. The combinations are bright and fresh and embrace every bit of the outdoor warmth.

After a mock ceremony with Sommer Saunder Celebrancy,  the team enlisted the help of a dream team to bring the “party” to life AVIdeas to bring in rental pieces, Black Tie Towers for a grand champagne tower,  a dramatic three-tier wedding cake by The Sweet Society Co. A long table set with soft pink linens from Table Threads, tableware from House Of Harvey, Southern Lights Candle Co candles in pink hues and paper pieces designed by Little J Design. Every detail is considered for a dinner of dreams, catered by Pure Catering BNE. Beautiful accessories including silks and velvet ring boxes from The Whole Bride, the finishing touch.

So what do you say? Are you, like us, convinced to add just a touch of pink to your wedding?
