Friend, if you ever come across an editorial, a wedding, a photograph that is packed with colour, send it our way, because let it be said, we will never, ever tire of amazing, vivid, bright colour. As evident, by our reaction to today’s editorial of bright, fun and colourful modern wedding ideas. From bright zesty orange to vivid primrose yellow, hot pink that is all about the bang, and sapphire blue that is deep and rich.

Nehchal Narula of NE Design – Planning & Styling had a clear vision in mind for this editorial, and oh, how it shows through every element of her planning and styling.  “I am originally from India and have worked in the wedding industry there” she tells. “The wedding is full of colours in India and that’s where we got our inspiration from. The idea was to add colours in a contemporary way & to showcase how adding colours can change the vibe of a space.”

The industrial warehouse space of Swan Settlers Market provides the perfect blank canvas for the vision to come to life with Ana Kuba Photography and Tracey O Photography behind the camera making sure every moment was documented in all of its glory.

Let’s talk attire. Model Adrian Beau Cardina, in a classic black suit and tie paired with a pale blue shirt.  Léa, Maysun Yeo, Lani Berlingeri, Kathryn Figueiredo and Kaitlin Kumnick donned beautiful Bridal by Neeve gowns with loose waves and softly swept ups do’s by Arimah Hair. All complemented by stunning makeup by Parneet Sandhu. “It was a beautiful day where we got a whole bunch of models ready to shoot. It was a literal wedding party!” laughs stylist Nehchal.

Wedding ceremonies in front of the grand wooden doors, our couples flanked by tall floral arrangements practically rainbow in their pops of colour, while places for guests were set with cross back wooden chairs.  Karli Louise Celebrant and Shari Wodzianski “officiating” proceedings, before the celebrations got underway.

Bella Wedding & Events (who was also the wizard behind the bright and beautiful floral arrangements) brought in long wooden tables for a reception dinner. The places are set with modern black crockery pieces from Side Serve Perth. Paper pieces, of course, colourful, but also bold and geometric in shape, were designed by Butterfly Days tying the modern details back with bright floral centrepieces, and mint green taper candles that ran down the centre of each table.

Says Nehchal “We believe that styled shoots are an amazing opportunity to make the most of the creative freedom as there is no specific client/couple that we are working for. We wanted to work with a fun & vibrant colour palette, yet keep it modern & sophisticated. All wooden furniture was selected to compliment the beautiful barn door at the venue and the flowers & napkins were chosen to add the pop of colours!”
