It’s been said that the little spot of Second Valley on South Australia’s Fleurieu Peninsula is the most photographed spot in South Australia, well, by Instagram standards. And of course when Dimity and Hayley wanted epic engagement photos, this was just where they headed. “We wanted a location different to the style of our wedding venue (rustic garden theme)” says Hayley. “We’ve both always loved the beach – luckily in South Australia we are so spoilt for choice when it comes to incredible beach views.”

Only five minutes after chatting with Davish Photography, Hayley and Dimity knew they were a perfect match, the trio spending a beautiful sunny day by the sea to lock down this moment in time. Pop the champagne and settle in for this one! Just what we need for The Coastal Issue!

These two hit it off the first moment they met. “We met on I believe, a Tuesday night. It was meant to be a quick hello but ended up being an all-nighter. The next day at work with no sleep was fun but totally worth it.”

On her love for Dimity, Hayley shares “I love how big her dreams are and her belief that no matter how big those dreams are or the challenges that are faced they will be achieved. She is passionate and focused with everything she does. When she sets her mind to something she will not give up till she has achieved exactly that. She also has a silly side and thinks she is hilarious. Sometimes this is true lol.”

Hayley popped the big question with a fun mystery scavenger hunt, she remembers “I ask Dim to marry me on a setup picnic scavenger hunt through the McLarenvale that one her best friends had randomly won. When we arrived at our last destination, we were getting photos in front of the vineyard and that’s where I asked. In true Dim style she had predicted it and bought along her own ring, so a surprise double proposal.”
