Wondering how to style table numbers for your coastal-themed event? Wonder no more – here are some gorgeous (and simple) ways to bring the seaside onto the table! Gather your chosen design and add shells, succulents, or floating grasses for a relaxed, coastal feel that is easy to put together.
What You Will Need:
- Table numbers – we designed these on Canva but your wedding stationer can also design them for you.
- Seaside styling props – you can use shells, succulents, dried grasses or blooms, seed pods, driftwood – whatever says ‘seaside’ to you
- Table number stands – we used an acrylic photo frame, a black board stand and a ply stand, all from Kmart
Step One
The first step in this coastal tutorial is to nail down the design of your table numbers. Check the size, colour, and design if you’re getting them made for you, or print yourself a proof if you’re designing them yourself to avoid any design disasters.
Step Two
Once you’ve decided on the design, choose your stand of choice. You can use mismatched photo frames, place them in floral arrangements, hang them from the ceiling – the options are limitless! Wooden stands add a lovely soft element to the table, while an acrylic frame pushes the focus onto the rest of your styling elements. Place the table number in the centre of the table, then arrange all of your coastal styling elements around. It’s a really good idea to have a practice at home before the event, so that you know roughly how you want it to look on the day – and to ensure it’ll work, and you have enough of everything.
Step Three
Once you’re happy with how it looks and feels, take a wee photo to remind yourself of your genius. If you’re packing everything up to take to the venue, pop in a few extra of everything – you won’t be sorry!
