You know what never fails? It’s the creativity of Aussie wedding vendors. Today’s editorial is inspired by the team’s love of Italy, and their longing for the Mediterranean countryside, and how when a talented dream team combine their skills, magic happens. Rich earthy tones combined with olive branches, fresh herbs. Golden bottles of olive oil on taupe linens, fresh fruit next to blush vessels. It is the curation, the pairing of details, that is just the beginning of what you’ll love about this one.
Captured by Angela Cannavo Photography, this one was dreamt up by Kristy of Maple Weddings and Events alongside floral designer Fiesta Flora, Says Kristy “We both worked on this concept and wanted to bring something unique to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland and during these unprecedented times! Allowing people to be transfixed and feel as though they were a world away in Italy.”
The venue, The Old Dairy Maleny was beautifully Tuscan in style, and set the scene for long tables set with stunning blooms and herbs styled by Fiesta Flora, amongst carefully selected crockery pieces, fresh fruit, coupes of golden champagne, terracotta toned napkins, bottles of pressed olive oil and customised layered menus designed by Bluebird Invitations. And surrounded by olive trees and branches, lighting from Out of the Dark Event Lighting and a coordinating hand painted cake by Chocolate 2 Chilli the finishing touches.
Our bride, in a sparkling, When Freddie Met Lilly (who also dressed our groom) gown, wore pieces from Uniqueness Jeweller. Her auburn hair styled into a loosely swept up-do by Evalyn Parsons Hair to match her earthy-toned makeup styled by Boudoir Blush Beauty and Makeup.
“With virtually no travel worldwide at present, we wanted to inspire people to think outside the box for their own wedding.” Explains Kristy, “Think Italian Summer Country Side. Inspired by the rustic Italian vibe. Bringing those Italian feels to the Sunshine Coast and allowing people to feel as though they have been transported. Italy is well known for its olives and orchards so we have created an interior olive grove – bringing the outside in, really showcases its versatility.” And that they did, because it is the combination of greenery, of herbs, of soft earthy tones, a touch of sparkle, and beautifully thought out details, that really show off the talent of this team.
