As you can probably guess, the PDW team sees A LOT of weddings. Daily. And the truth is…. we love it. Give us all the weddings, all the love, all the time, and you’ve got yourself a happy posse of patterned people. When it comes to shooting some of the most memorable, candid, and romantic moments from weddings, the team at Lovereel really are the experts. So we asked them to let us know their top 5 moments from weddings they love to capture (and, in their opinion, should always be captured!) on film. 

Shae & Arty at their surprise home wedding! Everyone was told it was for the bride’s birthday and then this happened!

Moment One

This would have to be the groom’s reaction when he sees his bride for the first time on their wedding day – as she makes her way down the aisle. You can tell most grooms are unprepared for it and try to fight back the tears whilst others just let it all out. It’s a beautiful moment!

Moment Two

The couples photoshoot. Typically, we’ll just let the photographer do their thing with the couple whilst we film it all naturally as it happens. This is more often than not some of the most beautiful footage we capture on the day and it really makes our couples wedding films all the more special. Some couples like to play up to the camera a little more, and we don’t mind that at all. For example, having the couple run towards the camera across a field of grass in slow motion adds something very unique and special to their wedding film.

Moment Three

We love surprises! Surprises are planned, and whilst we generally know about it beforehand, typically no one else knows about it except the bride and groom. For example, it’s a pretty incredible moment when the couple gets up for their first dance and kills it on the dance floor after having practised a rather impressive dance routine for the past 6 months in anticipation of this very moment. You can only imagine their guests’ reactions are something to remember.

Moment Four

Pets! There’s nothing cuter than a “formally” dressed-up pooch at a wedding. Without a doubt, they always end up making the final cut in our couple’s wedding films.

Moment Five

This would have to be any spontaneous, unexpected moments. You just never know what’s going to happen at a wedding. Needless to say, we’ll have our eyes and ears open all day to make sure we don’t miss any of these unplanned but memorable moments.
