There is a reason we begin our weeks with fashion because nothing quite makes a Monday better than a stunning collection of beautiful gowns.

Today, it’s all about  Wollongong designer Prea James.  We know and love Prea for her modern, minimal styling and her new collection “Harmony II”, much like the brand itself embodies the famous Leonardo Da Vinci quote “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.”

This is Prea’s fourth made to measure collection, and it brights to life eight beautiful gowns and a range of mix and match separates. There are beautiful classic silhouettes, like a strapless column sheath, “Emilia” able to be paired with a detachable sleeve. There’s elegant “Laura” a crossover bodice gown with a centre front slip which can be changed up with the sheer, yet dramatic “Clementine” jacket over top.

And the chic minimal styling doesn’t mean detail has been forgotten, Prea adding in beautiful texture to gowns like “Valentina” and “Carolyn” accented in delicate tulle flowers and beaded heather detailing. Each pairing back with the brand’s collection of veils and toppers that allow you to truly customise your own look.

The designs each stay true to Prea’s mission for beautiful, pared-back styling, that complement’s the wearer’s figures. She herself sharing “My biggest inspiration comes from my brides. We are continuously striving to design wearable, modern, flattering garments with the PJB woman in mind. What do I find flattering on myself and other women is a question I often ask myself”. And with paired back weddings becoming the norm for the foreseeable future, I can’t help but feel that Prea’s styling is going to completely align with the times.

“Harmony II” is available from the Prea James Wollongong studio and stockists across Australia, USA and Europe now (find your closest here).
