Marrying by the seaside is something truly romantic, but your beachside wedding day? It doesn’t have to be adorned with seashells and driftwood, nor does it have to be clad in tones of blues and greens. Today, we’re flipping coastal wedding style on its head with this stunning editorial that is all about sparkly modern coastal wedding style.
With Red Berry Photography behind the camera, our team took to the beautiful South Coast and dreamt up by stylists Pia & Jade, set their plan in motion.
The team set a stunning ceremony backdrop, with modern geometric structures, adorned romantically with fresh blooms by Gypsy Carmen in tones of raspberry red, coral and watermelon pinks. Overlooking the ocean, a wooden table with hairpin legs was accompanied by metal chairs, both from
South Coast Party Hire. The modern look topped with geometric candle holders and brass candle holders. The modern shapes juxtaposed next to stunning spring blooms.
The Pia & Jade team sharing “Beach weddings don’t have to be filled with shells and driftwood, they can still be elegant and luxe. We used modern, clean-lined furniture and an abundance of vibrant spring blooms that worked so well against the raw elements of the coast.”
And because we’re all about the sparkle this month, let’s take a minute to pay homage to the sparkly wedding gown. Model Sarah Kennewell dressed in a strapless, sequin Karen Willis Holmes gown from
Storybook Bridal. her modern look finished with loose, elegant waves by hairstylist Kate Lily Dressing Hair and makeup by Amanda K Makeup.
While cherry red and coral orange, sequins and sparkle, and geometric shapes are not the first things you think of when you think “coastal wedding”, today’s editorial is sure to make you rethink everything you knew.
