I can think of nothing I want to do more today than take a glass and pull up a chair right in the middle of today’s beautiful editorial of golden romance wedding style.
Set at the historic Bendigo venue of MacKenzie Quarters, this is an editorial that provides the most beautiful of escapes. There are cascading blooms, a reception so beautiful it’ll make you forget all your cares, a gin bar that is worth a toast and so many details in between. Thank goodness we can live vicariously through images!
This beautiful look was a dream of stylist Betty May Vintage, Jennie & Erin paying homage to the origins of the Goldfield town, by weaving glimmering gold throughout an editorial that married vintage style, with romantic beauty. Every little detail captured by photographer Whites + Woods and cinematographer In The Vines (lucky for you, and for us!)
“We really wanted to show off a mix of eras and styles to give people the courage to do the same at their wedding. It’s a sure-fire way to add a heap of personality and meaning to the day,’ tells Erin.
Our reception tablescape, set beneath the historic arches of the building, and surrounded by bentwood chairs from The Vintage Party People was topped with taupe table linens from Simmons Linen Hire. The setting completed with antique rose pink napkins from Country Style Events, vintage gold printed plates, rosewood cutlery, vintage candlesticks, cut crystal glassware and modern cone shaped candles. Floral printed paper from SB Libris wrapping favours for guests to delight in as they head for home.
Floral designer Grace Events + Artistry creating lush romantic table centrepieces, which were only complemented by the grand, the lush and the amazing floral installation that hung above the table and brings to life that romance, in the way that only beautiful florals can.
HardingHand designed handmade paper pieces, touched with inky blue and gold leaf, guiding guests to their seats, inviting them to devour delicious dishes, and pour themselves a drink.
And the food, oh how we need to talk about the food. A grazing table by The Vine & The Farmer plentiful with fresh fruit and cheese, a tower of fresh oysters, bowls of berries and piles of fresh honeycomb.
There was, of course, with everything beautiful too, not just one cake for this editorial, but three. Bake Me I’m Yours creating as stunning naked cake topped with fresh flowers, a teal single-tiered beauty and a beautiful gold leaf adorned classic tiered cake, all ready for guests to enjoy. Alongside the cake, was gin, Hop Supply Co supplying their favourite local and international distiller creations inviting guests to mix their own festive tipple.
As newlyweds, model Celine Clark and Mason dressed in pieces by Fifi + Edga and Peter Anthony Menswear. Celine’s look complemented with a veil, also from Fifi + Edga and a bejewelled One Day In March hairpiece, just for something a little extra special. The pair “marrying” under Light Hearted Designs signage, as the bride wore a stunner of a ring from Sally Rose White Label.
And in keeping with all the vintage charm, we can’t help but comment on the presence of a beautiful vintage EH Holden, owned by SB Libris, just the ticket for that getaway.
And if you can’t get enough of the beauty (just like us) grab a cuppa and settle in for this stunning film captured by In The Vines.
