Kiarnee & Robert
The day may have brought a few showers, however the atmosphere and feeling at this beautiful wedding was only one of love and pure joy for the happy couple! The pair chose vendors whom they loved and appreciated – and of course, were only too happy that the day revolved around their close knit family and friends. The Bride, shares the stunning details of their day which was captured by Jessica Rose Photography.
We met at Ritchie’s supermarket, where we had both worked together for a number of years. We started to become friends before later on beginning our relationship.
Robert and I had been together for 6 years when we travelled to Thailand for a getaway. Little did I know, he was planning on popping the question. He organised a private beach front dinner on the sand with delicious traditional Thai cuisine. After dinner he organised a bottle of Prosecco to be brought out as he was about to propose. He got on one knee and asked me to be his wife!!! I started crying and of course, said YES.
And then the planning began! We started researching venues and couldn’t go past Farm Vigano, set out on 16 acres in South Morang, offering beautiful gardens, friendly staff and most importantly, incredible Italian food!!! We loved the idea of share plates on the table, where our guests could pick and choose what they wanted! Suzie and the team were amazing to deal with throughout the whole process.
When it came to dress shopping, I only went to 2 different stores. I couldn’t go past Fairytales Bridal, they truly know what they are talking about and helped me to pick out the perfect gown for our special day.
Now we had locked in the venue and date, it was time to jump onto the next 3 most important vendors to make sure we got who we wanted! We picked the incredibly talented Jessica from Jessica Rose Photography as our Photographer and we could not have made a better choice – she is full of energy!! She captured our day better then we could have ever imagined.
We knew we wanted a videography and knew we wanted to go with Rachel from Rachel Mary Films based on the Mornington Peninsula. We love her style and point of difference when she was filming our special day.
When it came to celebrants, this was a super important choice for us as it is the whole reason you are there – to get married! We picked Danielle from Danielle Emily Weddings, and WOW!!! Danielle sent us a questionnaire to find out more about our relationship, which from there she wrote our ceremony.
She honestly could not have done a better job! She was extremely friendly, bubbly and professional throughout the whole process. On the day she did an amazing job, telling our story and making sure it wasn’t to serious and definitely filled with love!
Then I knew I wanted Monique (a family friend) who runs The Bloom Movement for our flowers. She did a fabulous job and the colours were perfect, soft and vibrant.
I walked down the aisle to “I Get To Love You” by Ruele. It’s a beautiful song that gave us that exciting feeling, so we knew it was the one.
The details were all about family. I was lucky to have my two sisters as bridesmaids and my mum also walked down the aisle with my Dad. My dad owns a 1956 FJ Holden and had a good family friend drive Dad and myself to the wedding on the day and another good family friend has a vintage ford and drove my sisters and mum to the wedding.
Robert had one of his brothers and brother in law as his groomsmen. We also had both of our Mums be our witness.
A great detail was having the rest of Roberts siblings, my two aunties and my best friend (who also did a reading) release butterflies for my best friend, Poppy who had passed away. This was a special moment in the ceremony that i will never forget.
Our first dance was to a cover version of ‘Wonderwall’ by Oasis. This was always one of Robert’s favourite songs and the only one he ever learnt on guitar. It was especially meaningful as for my first birthday as a couple, he recorded himself playing it on the guitar!
I love the photos of everyone enjoying themselves, eating the delicious food or dancing up a storm on the dance floor!
A favourite part of the wedding planning was simply seeing everything come together. There are so many options and ideas that you can do for your wedding day, yet it all comes down to what is the most important to you and your fiancé. At the end of the day, having fun with it and not stressing about the small stuff is the key.
They say your wedding day goes really quick and it really does, so make sure you find the perfect vendors to make your day extra memorable and special!
Ms Zebra Says: Sending the happy couple the biggest congratulations – and all the very best for a long and happy future together!
