During The Feast Issue, we knew we wanted one thing. Editorials that celebrated wedding menus, in all of their abundance, and mouth-watering colour. Enter today’s beautiful beachside session. A styled shoot that is not just about its amazing, beachside location, but is filled with amazing ideas to steal for your own big day and a wedding menu that has us booking our next trip to the beach just so we can laze in the sunshine with tacos and grazing tables and champagne – oh my!
It was all the brainchild of stylist Aisle of Eden who not only created the concept for the shoot, held at the beautiful coastal venue of Cook at Kurnell but also styled the look and the beautiful floral details. Our couple Emmaly & Henry playing bride and groom in a gorgeous outdoor ceremony. Celebrant Amy Watson performing a mock ceremony with a cunning circular backdrop donned in dried leaves and a touch of gold. Guests gathering on beautiful bamboo chairs from The Fox and the Burrow in completely the tropical luxe style.
And let’s talk about the attire in today’s editorial because I know you’re dying to know about that beautiful gown. It’s by none other than Australian designer Alice McCall. The flower girls wore gorgeous gowns by Tea Princess and their hair and makeup styled with effortless seaside beauty by Jennifer Mountain.
Tells photographer Kristen of The Paper Fox, who captured every detail of the editorial “We wanted to create a wedding editorial that was low key with delicious food and divine cocktails a perfect place for a relaxed coastal wedding that can accommodate the whole family, fur babies included.”
And once the official part of the day was over, it was time to enjoy that seaside setting, an amazing grazing table set up with all kinds of delicious treats, retro vibes on board with skewers of melon and a buffet of tacos, seafood and sliders set for guests to enjoy with the sunset.
When dinner was ready, our guests entered the coastal boho wonderland, a white tent playing host to a gorgeous wonderland of beautiful dried floral arrangements, beaded chandeliers and a table set for guests to sit and enjoy the first feast with the just married couple. A semi-naked layered wedding cake by Peep Peep Hurray Cakes awaiting that very first bite. Intimate Nomadic Belle decked out just for two for a little time out for the happy couple before they danced the night away under the stars, and the festoon lights, of course!
