Oh we can’t wait to share this modern Australian editorial today, especially in light of The Australia Issue!) and today’s editorial seeks to celebrate the beauty of the Australian landscape by complementing the scenery that only Australian can conjure up, with beautiful pastels and neutral tones.
Designer Sophie, of Zolotas Australia (who’s gowns feature throughout this shoot) telling of the team’s inspiration “We wanted to use pastels with a soft natural, colour palette – I wanted the setting to feel peaceful and relaxed.”
With photographer Alannah Liddell behind the camera, the team took to the beautiful Oakover Grounds and the scene was set. Stylist Lace Petals & Hearts creating a look with a low white table beautiful for intimate and cosy celebrations. The table set surrounded by soft rugs, comfy cushions and set with modern stationery pieces from Grey Rabbit Design, and copper etched pieces by Etched Engraving to complement epic grazing platters full of tasty treats from Grazing by Basil’s.
But it was the blooms that really stole the show, Rose & Bud embracing the neutral splendour with beautiful, almost sculptural styled blooms in hues of champagne, beige and nude pink in stunning white vessels, bringing the neutral look to life in beautiful splendour. And can we talk about that fun gold and white balloon install by Whimsical Balloons!
And then there’s our bride, model Fallon Gregory dressed in beautiful, dreamy gowns from Aussie designers Zolotas Australia with dramatic makeup styled by Starlet Concepts and two looks – loose waves and a chic up-do, by hairstylist Gamine Dynasty.
It’s a combination that was ethereal in its beauty as the sunset, with plenty of magic as the lights came on after dark.
The shoot held a special meaning to Sophie, who chose specifically to work with Indigenous model, Fallon, for today’s shoot. She explains “I also work in the justice system and have noticed that Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people are very under-represented in the wedding industry. We want to highlight the importance of the Zolotas values, which are all about inclusivity and diversity in our industry.”
I don’t know which I loved more, the vibe of the photos or the story behind this shoot. Overall great job!! Beautiful! 🙂
