As the mid-way point of 2019 Is now well and truly behind us, it’s time for those with 2020 weddings to start thinking about the hunt for their dream dress. So, if you haven’t started pinning and saving dresses to your wedding folder on Instagram, it’s high time for a dose of new-season wedding inspiration! Here we’ve rounded up our fave looks with the help of White Lily Couture.

V-neck

This neckline shows no signs of dipping out of favour any time soon. As a flattering design element used to elongate the figure, it is no surprise that the vivacious v-neck is a hot commodity for 2019/2020 brides. The plunging v-neck is also a big ‘yes’ from us, paired with anything from a soft A-line to a fitted femme fatale style. Here we’ve opted for the latter with the Nicky gown – a mixture of beading a Chantilly lace combined with sheer illusion cut-out panels for that extra ‘wow’ factor.

Double or nothing

Another top trend well worth the hype, is the two-in-one dress. Rather than a separate dress for the ceremony and reception, we are now seeing the dress/overskirt combination take centre-stage. You can still have all the impact of a full skirt as you head down the aisle to say ‘I do,’ with the freedom to bust a move later in your fitted dress of far less square-meterage. Is this not the ultimate way to express your personal style on your wedding day? Here we’ve combined the ultra-glam sequinned Cordoba gown with a front split overskirt for the perfect match.

Life in colour

Once utterly taboo, we’ve recently seen the rise of print and colour both on and off the catwalk and we are so here for it! If you’re the type of bride who is looking to really stand out, then this one is for you. Some might go bold in full colour, while others might make a subtle foray. We love the Indigo gown as the perfect blend of bridal and print with a divine silk tinged with watercolour florals.

Organza on show

We are now seeing organza making a dramatic reappearance in bridal and my – how beautiful it is! This lightweight fabric lends itself so well to full skirts and structural details. Perfect for holding its shape and making a statement, you could never miss an organza train sashaying down the aisle. We are so in love with the strapless dream, the Lyvia gown and her delicate florals trickling into a voluminous organza skirt.
