It’s one thing to dream of a beach wedding, it’a completely different thing to plan it. So we know sometimes, it just isn’t a fit for you and an elopement? It might just be the answer. So when we put the call out for The invitation Issue and received this offbeat & moody beachside elopement shoot, we knew it was on the cards to share!
Lorelie of Wyldly Eloped dreamt up an idea that revolved around “a moody coast elopement with wild untamed desires that were represented in the blood-red blooms, the romance of the occasion with soft lilacs and the wandering whimsy of dried florals and grasses atop an old salvaged fireplace.”
With The Fox and The Bear Wedding Photography behind the camera, Lorelai assembled a team, including stylist Bonnie Blue Vintage & Event Hire, cinematographer Blue Vale Films and floral designer Yukari Botanicals.
And because we’re all about the paper treats this month, we have to focus in on the intricate hand-cut pieces from Studio B Couture. The stationery suite, with its unique shape, contrasting with a richly toned floral paper envelope liner and reflected in custom-printed vow cards for our bride and groom to share the special words.
Our bride, model Britney Smithers donned a floor-length, emerald green velvet gown by Pretty Little Thing. A dramatic, oversize necklace from Lovisa complementing her dramatically bold makeup styled by Backstage Beauty. Her hair, styled by The Fox & Dandelion was enhanced with extensions from Gold Fever Australia. The offbeat style just the right fit for the offbeat style of the shoot.
Groom Liam Carey in a classic black suit, waited for his future bride in front of an old, floral adorned flower place from Wyldly Eloped. Fiona Duce of Coastal Weddings officiating our “ceremony” just for two against the background of beach bush scrub.
And then it was time to celebrate – with a picnic on the beach! Bonnie Blue Vintage & Event Hire, styling up beautiful pieces for our newlyweds to lounge on as they enjoy a beautiful grazing feast from Lavish Platters. The finishing touch an over the top dusky pink cake, a true avante garde cake designed and created by the talented Wild Child Cakes.
