Today, we’re going on an adventure. An adventure where there is endless dessert, where fairytales come to life, where florals are lush, where tables are laden with vibrant details.
Today’s dream team, led by cake designer Regnier Cakes was inspired by the age-old fairy tale of Snow White to create an editorial full of fairytale magic.
With Icon Photography Melbourne behind the camera, our princess bride, dressed in gowns by Jason Grech (finished with hair and makeup by Rita Skin & Makeup and Mobile Makeovers) wandered the grounds of rustic venue Barn & Co. The scene was set with pieces from Wedding Hire Melbourne, beautiful vintage chairs from A Day To Remember Hire and a rustically set table by Bespoke by WM all layered with decadent tableware from Betty May Vintage. Tyabb Rose Farm created lush arrangements bursting with whimsicality, in blush pinks and cherry reds. Invite & Co hand lettered invitations, place cards and sweet little notes for a little extra something special.
The rustic cottage had one shining feature that was pure magic; a decadent cake display by Regnier Cakes that is indeed what fairytales are made of. Mushrooms and moss were surrounded a bevy of toffee apples, custom set chocolates (created by Designer Chocolates from Chocolate Work), cakes of every size and flavour, and doughnuts galore.
And of course, the Snow White fantasy had its own special nods – edible apples (both the chocolate and fruit variety) a magic mirror by Mirror Photo Booth complete with mystical smoke by Matt Jefferies Entertainment.
Shoot director Melina tells us of their inspiration, “The story is set on an estate where our princess bride is walking the grounds with her noble steed. She then runs away and finds herself lost in the woods and stumbles across this woodman’s cottage. Full of tempting and delicious foods. She then bites into a poison apple and falls asleep by the fire.”
Gorgeous! What a lush and romantic vision.
