It’s no secret around here than Autumn is hands down my favourite season. So we thought what better way to celebrate (even if our weekend vibes are a little more sweltering than snuggling) than with a sunset session by the beach?

With Nick Skinner Photography behind the camera, Renee and Matt, who are photographers themselves, ” it was important for us that the shoot be out in nature. We got engaged on the beach back in 2014, so being back by the water felt special and nostalgic,” headed to the seaside location of Portsea to ward off the evening chill. The result? Stunning photographs that capture not just the beauty of Autumn by the sea, but the golden, magical light of sunset.

It seems it was always meant to be for these two, who met at the young age of 12. Tells Renee “Funnily, we met on the first day of high school when we were 12 years old. We didn’t start dating until year 12/senior year but were good friends prior.”

It’s so apt that these two captured this season on the beach the sea already holding so many gorgeous memories for them. Renee explaining “We got engaged back in 2014 at beautiful Gunnamatta Beach on the Mornington Peninsula. It was our 7 year dating anniversary and after strolling along the beach Matthew got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife.”

On what she loves most about Matt, Renee shares “I love Matthew’s blue eyes, his humour, love for animals, intelligence, and the way he is always a gentleman.”

Matt’s favourite part about Renee? ” I love Renee’s smile, laugh, caring nature, and golden-coloured eyes.”
