A Modern & Industrial Flower Filled Wedding Editorial

by | Bride, Inspiration Shoot,

We love how talented wedding vendors are making use of flowers lately, amazing garlands, trailing centrepieces, hanging masterpieces. And so, when today’s team landed this editorial in our inbox, we were all over it. It’s so packed with fresh flowers, you can practically smell them! What better way to celebrate the week of Valentines Day than with flowers after all?

With  Judy Nunez Photography, a team led by planner and designer Oh! Such Style was inspired to create a flower-filled wedding day look with an industrial, organic edge.

The raw setting of  The Sapphire Room – Ponsonby Central provided the backdrop, models Katie Atiknson and Ethan Coleman our bride and groom, dressed in a glam, Hera Couture blush ballgown, and smart black tuxedo from Ellen Tailors. The look finished for Katie, with romantic, natural hair and makeup by Eleanor Dorn Make Up.

But it was the table setting that really stopped the show. A beautiful rectangular table dressed with a lush floral garland of apricot, blush and lilac blooms by  Twig and Twine Floral Artistry, who also created a complementary asymmetrical floral backdrop. The table, from  Arcade topped with grey linens and matching napkins by Tble. Linen.

Danielle of Oh! Such Style sharing of the look “Our goal was to achieve an organic, romantic feel within an industrial space. We decided to seek a change from rustic exposed brick and festoon lights – not that we don’t love them! We sought to create a scene that was heavy with romance and elegance without being too formal.”

Each place setting, of clean-lined white crockery and simple glassware, was jewelled with rose gold flatware and understated, chic paper place cards designed by Just My Type. The chic, floral touches extending to a beautiful white tiered cake by Bake-a-Boo topped with just white flowers for it’s own statement look.

Danielle adding “This was a great challenge to achieve a balance of industrial, romantic and organic, without losing the special formality of a wedding and special occasion. The luxe details like the over-the-top florals achieved a dramatic statement and really pulled the whole look together.”
