“Gone are the days where winter weddings are unheard of, it’s fast becoming one of the most desirable seasons to get married in Byron Bay. Why? There are a number different factors why couples are embracing the winter months – from venue availability, the beautiful subtropical temperatures, awe-inspiring sunsets and price,” tells Inga of Byron Bay Weddings who dreamed up this shoot idea.
The concept embodied a beautiful mix of that relaxed Byron vibe, with cosy, winter warmth. The outdoor reception was designed and styled by The Wedding Shed and The Grove Styling with tablescapes of cut crystal, red and blush blooms, mulled wine and winter fruits; the setting covered in sparkling lights (by Byron Audio). The bride’s fluffy, delightful-for-winter gown was a piece by Marilyn Crystelle with a skirt by One Day Bridal from Sphere Collective.
The beautiful rolling ranges of Byron View Farm, Byron Bay set the scene for magic captures by Van Middleton Photography and YellowBull Media; the details each considered carefully. From the floral arrangements that combined bright poppy red with muted blush by Bower Botanicals, the hand-calligraphied stationery by Little Duck Calligraphy and the cake, with its grand four tiers stunningly created by Sweet Obsessions, the details added a richness and a whimsical beauty to the palette
model Carlie Jennings danced through the stage as styled by Alex Ouston Beauty. Inga adds, “This concept features the fullness of colour in winter blooms, from deep ruby reds to blush rose tones, native greenery, grapes and figs, shimmering fairy lights and elegant styling.”
