If there is one way to celebrate The Black Tie Issue, this celebration of dramatic black tie wedding inspiration juxtaposed with the raw, dilapidated setting will simply give you an entirely new angle on the classic dress code. Rich burgundies (that velvet jacket!) and the golden hue of candlelight, dress up in an ambience that is full of dark moodiness.

With photographer Becky van Straalen Photography set to capture every detail, stylist Beautiful Weddings Australia teamed up with stationer Studio B Couture, cake designer The Sweet Society Co. and floral stylist  Miss Popsy at the raw venue of  Fort Lytton National Park.

Filled with candlelight our dream team made magic with the sparkling brass candelabras, beautiful blooms in deep, richly toned burgundy hues and soft blush tones. A magnificent cake, by The Sweet Society Co was dressed in black with printed fondant blooms is a breathtaking centrepiece in a setting that is deep and moody with just a touch of metallic sparkle.

Our models Monique Castrission and Chris Bridgewater took centre stage, dressed in a delicate off the shoulder gown by Jordanna Regan Couture and a burgundy velvet suit from Wil Valor. The finishing touches provided by Little White Couture with hair and makeup by  Bella Brides 

Stationery designer, Lorelie of Studio B Couture tells “Our team captured the essence of moodiness in an abandoned war bunker illuminating the heart of romance with a balance of delicate blush tones, deep burgundies and mixed metallic touches. We incorporated a dark, moody colour palette with a variety of romantic textures to create a dramatically seductive, yet simple, floral design concept. The floral design was specifically created to complement the setting rather than overpower it.”
