Heidi & Max
We’re big lovers of sunsets at Polka Dot Bride – not only can we often be found outdoors during golden hour, but we’re often found dreaming the day away when we spy images of gold like today’s. Heidi and Max’s boho-inspired romantic love shoot was captured beautifully by Ainslee Burke Photography.
The shoot drew together a talented dream team, who wanted to capture a love story in a different way, photographer Ainslie telling “We were inspired by the adventurous, head-over-heels- in love kind of couple. One that makes you all giddy on the inside with the love they have for each other. Not your traditional generic wedding, something with some individuality and rebellion against the norms of wedding tradition.”
Heidi, dressed in a beautiful gown from Cheboom Bridal Boutique wore a beautiful makeup look with red lips by Michelle Cato and carried a bouquet created by Shique Floral Design.
Heidi and Max hit it off the moment they met, Heidi remembering “We met at The Shellharbour Club! One of our mutual friends was doing a fitness modelling comp and we both went to support her. We laughed so much that day! About a week later he added me on Snapchat (I think we were already friends on Facebook) and the rest is history. We just clicked from the start – everyone always says how we are two people that are meant to be in each other’s lives. It’s been a blessing that I’ve found my soulmate so early in life because now we get to enjoy much more time together.”
On what he loves about his girlfriend Max notes “I love that Heidi is such a caring soul and never makes me feel unloved. She always puts in 100% effort into myself and our relationship and that’s something I am so appreciative of. Heidi always supports all of my travel plans and my rock climbing and makes me so happy.”
On what they love about one another, Heidi notes “We are ALWAYS laughing with each other – there are so many little things that happen when we’re together that we giggle about. Our trip to South East Asia was full of fun times. There have been lots of little things we remember over the years but nothing really big enough that it’s been a ‘crying with laughter and tell everyone you know’ kind of memory, which is crazy because we’ve been together for 4 years.”
On what she loves about Max, Heidi remarks “I honestly love everything about Max. He has so much passion and drive and it’s awesome to have a partner that has serious goals and aspirations. It’s so easy to talk and laugh with him – we started out as best friends and then the love came so we’ve never stopped being best friends.”
Beautiful shots, excellent location, loved the polka dot
