One of my favourite things to do is to collaborate with other bloggers around the world- and it is exactly this that we have done with our friends at AIsle Society. Together, bloggers from every corner of the globe created something special and this week? We’re celebrating our diversity by kicking off the ‘Around the world with Aisle Society’ project and showcasing everything this group of wedding bloggers adores about Australian weddings! We asked some of our favourites what they love about Aussie weddings (and you can see more of our collective Australian features here)

“I love how effortless Aussie wedding style is – you guys have boho down to a fine art. I also love that you love proteas as much as we South Africans do – some of the most inspiring protea bouquets have come from Australian weddings.”

Gaby of Southbound Bride

“Location, location, location! Aussie couples choose the most stunning locales within their vast, beautiful country. Australian weddings are effortlessly chic, with flowing gowns, lush florals, and beautiful, laid-back style. Always favourites!”

“I love their chic and relaxed vibe. They always feel so authentic and down to earth and a fun party you want to be a part of!”

Megan of Glamour & Grace

” Australian weddings are cool!! Couples are fashion-forward, laid back and all about the unique venues! I also think there’s a unique photography style, moody and edgy but still pretty!”

” There’s so much I love about Australian weddings! How true to their personal style the couples always are (grooms in jandals!), Australian native florals (I have no idea what they’re called, but the greenery & flowers are always incredible), their glamorous bridesmaids, and the stunning Australian outback backdrops so many venues have. Oh and I have to agree with Louise, there’s definitely a uniquely Australian (although it is now coming over here) photography style that tends to be laid back documentary style (often predominantly landscape), with dark edgy lighting – I love it!”

Amy of Chic Vintage Brides

“Australian bridal designers are finally sharing their genius with the rest of the world – I love seeing brides all over the world wearing designers like Anna Campbell, Jennifer Gifford, Grace Loves Lace, Pallas Couture, Steven Khalil, and Karen Willis Holmes!”

“Elopements! Australians know how to create the most picture-perfect elopements and utilize the natural scenery around them.”
