Christina & Ze
There was such a sense of celebratory joy when Christina & Ze tied the knot – from the bride’s stunning gown that was replaced by a gorgeous fluffy short red dress for the reception, to her never-ending enormous smile. The day was captured so beautifully by Anna Taylor.
Christina and Ze live in America, the groom proposing twice before the bride said yes – the pair wanting an Australian wedding and all of their 24 guests flying out from China and Singapore to celebrate the day.
The bride chose her first gown, a tulle-skirted BHLDN number based on her love of the brand’s designs, She tells “My dress was absolutely gorgeous. It was from one of my favourite line of clothes. In fact, we ended up buying two dresses, one for a pre-wedding photoshoot and one for the wedding itself”
Christina and Ze married at Collingwood Children’s Farm telling “Collingwood Children’s Farm is the first wedding venue we ever visited. It just feels like the farm is for us and could be the setting for such a special wedding.”
Of their photographer, Christina tells “Anna is amazing. We are so glad she agreed to help us with photography in the first place. We so loved her style and the photos turned out to be exactly like we wanted them to be.”
The Farm Cafe styled all of the florals for the day, the bride noting “We wanted native, wildflowers and they turned out to be gorgeous.”
The newlyweds honoured their heritage with the bride changing to a red dress for the reception that she purchased in Bangkok, and gifting each guest a candle – as is the tradition.
The couple opted out of a first dance, opting for a night long karaoke party! Christina explains “We ended up doing a karaoke party with all the friends singing instead of dancing, it was equally fun if not more.”
Congratulations on your marriage Christina and Ze! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your stories with us. A big thank you to Anna Taylor for sharing today’s beautiful photographs!
Such a great day for such a great couple. We had a blast tootling them, and their bridal party to and from their wedding in our vintage Kombis. And I have to say, Anna Taylor’s photography truly captured the fun and heartfelt essence of the day.
