There is nothing we love more than curling up on the couch and reading Real Weddings submissions from our newly wedded couples. Do they ever get tiresome or repetitive to read? Absolutely not. No two weddings are ever the same and each couple puts their personal stamp on the day right down to every little detail. Beyond the venue, the dress, styling and everything else that goes into the wedding, what we love more than anything is getting a window into unique, loving relationships through these real weddings stories. Who doesn’t love love?!
We have some seriously stunning weddings lined up to share with you in 2018 but, before we forge ahead, let’s take a look back at the weddings you adored reading about most in 2017!

Mia and Dennis’ Glamorous Bayside Wedding
“It wasn’t love at first sight, but it turned out to be one of the biggest loves I have ever found. We spoke, there was no flirting, and became best friends!”

Mary and Magnus’ Pretty Perth Farm Wedding
“Organising our whole wedding with Magnus was so fun and easy. Quite a few friends told us ‘You’ll have so many fights and wish that you eloped’ but that was never the case. We had lots of fun and laughs planning it all.”

Viktoriia and Jason’s Elegant Substation Wedding
“We were on one of our group hikes along the Great Ocean Road, when he finally got down on one knee – on the cliff tops overlooking the ocean with an iconic lighthouse in the background – and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him.”

Vanessa and Chris’ Boho Cammeray Water Wedding
“I was always planning other peoples’ weddings, always the wedding planner never the bride…then one December evening Chris asked me to spend the rest of my life with him!”

On Love and Marriage – Sylvia and Lew
“In Sylvia’s words, she was ‘straight-up impressed’ by Lew and could tell he was a good man. Lew asked Sylvia to join him at a New Year’s Eve party on the beach a few nights later and the rest, as they say, is history.”

Renae and Ben’s Garden Wedding at Mount Lofty House
“I was surprised to see Ben shed more tears during the ceremony than I did. It was such a beautiful moment and I loved hearing Ben’s own vows for the first time in front of our closest family and friends.”

Rowena and John’s Sydney Summer Wedding
“After our engagement, I spent the next 15 months trawling through wedding magazines, Pinterest and Instagram for wedding inspiration and ideas.”

“It was there that Liam got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was absolutely surprised but I was totally ready. I said yes.”

Jessica and Sean’s Beautiful Melbourne Garden Wedding
“Sean and I were married at the Pioneer Women’s Gardens in Kings Domain Park, Melbourne on the 17th September 2016. We chose this place because it felt like a little secret garden filled with 1920’s charm, secluded from the busy city nearby with blossoms everywhere!”
