Happy Monday Dotties! The festive season is certainly underway and this week we’re toasting in our own way with a little Polka Dot get together! I can’t wait!

When planning your wedding you’d probably like to involve your special people on your wedding day. There are so many ways of doing this, so don’t be afraid of thinking of something different – after all your day should reflect your personality. From the getting ready moments and treating someone special to make-up on the day (even though they’re not in the bridal party), or a celebratory toast, to asking your special people to encircle you after the ceremony – it’s your day. We suggest you also take a look at Ms Polka Dot’s Directory for vendors who are keen to help you with your vision for your wedding day. We have Celebrants, we have Styling and Hire, we have Transport and Photobooth Hire – we even have Catering and Wedding Planners! Our vendors are committed to helping you make the most beautiful of wedding days.

Check out Ms Polka Dot’s Directory for wedding vendors who will love your wedding as much as you!

Celebrants are at the heart of every wedding day, and you can’t but help being inspired by the quality of celebrants we have in our Directory. Sarah of Sarah Aird Civil Celebrant is one of those celebrants, and she loves and is inspired by being involved in creating and delivering a beautiful ceremony that reflects who you are. To get you started she has a comprehensive ceremony builder booklet with lots of ideas, and she is with you every step of the way, across all the little details, to deliver the perfect ceremony for you.

We asked Sarah of Sarah Aird Civil Celebrant five questions in five minutes:

What is your reward after a big working day?

My couch, a Margherita pizza and trashy TV!

Favourite weekend getaway?

Anywhere with a comfy bed, a giant spa bath to relax in and delicious food.

What is your most prized possession?

That’s a really tricky question! Probably my thimble collection. I have been collecting china thimbles as souvenirs from cities and countries I’ve visited since I was 11 years old. I have well over 300 of them now, and I’m lucky enough that friends and family have brought them back from all over the world for me. They’re pretty special.

Favourite restaurant?

Sugo Italian Restaurant in Malvern. Not only is the food absolutely delicious, but I hold all my meetings with my wedding clients there, and the staff look after us so well. They’re amazing!

What do you most enjoy about being in the wedding industry?

I get to be a part of people’s best day of their lives – what could be better than that? I’m absolutely honoured and privileged that so many couples trust me to start off the celebrations of the next phase of their lives with a personalised and meaningful ceremony, and I adore hearing and telling their wonderful stories.
