Lauren & Thiago
When your feet are bare and you’re roaming the sand in your favourite place in the world, is there anything more you could love? This relaxed Wilsons Promontory engagement captured by Georgia Verrells is testament to doing it your way.
The pair met at a Melbourne bar, Thiago remembering “Lauren was a regular customer at the bar I used to work, The Black Pearl, in Fitzroy. One day I arrived at work and saw this beautiful blonde lady, full of tattoos, wearing a Guns ‘n Roses t-shirt (my favourite band) and having a scotch, neat. I fell in love straight away.”
These two love to laugh. “On December 2014, our 4 month anniversary together, during Christmas period. We were at my place, we had a nice dinner, watched a TV show (we kinda do that a lot) then we went to bed.
I was looking at her, with a stupid smile on my face, happy cause I found the woman of my life, so I decided that that night would be perfect to say “I love you” for the first time. So we are just looking at each other, I go to her, give her a big kiss and say “I love you, babe”.
I wish it ended there, it would be poetic and beautiful – but I farted right after saying “I love you” for the first time in our relationship. Things just got better from that point on.”
On what they love about one another, Lauren and Thiago note “We love the easy relationship we have. We’ve discussed things we like and don’t like in a relationship and decided to not let anything be in between us two. There are no dramas in our relationship. We’ve been together for almost four years now and we have never had an argument.”
“I took Lauren to Brazil to meet my family in December 2015. I booked a nice night in an amazing hotel in Sao Paulo and proposed the following morning on the hotel bed, after breakfast in bed” reminisces Thiago of how he proposed to Lauren, adding “I had the ring with me for an hour under the blankets before I actually had the courage to propose. I was freaking out…”.
Beautiful photography!
