This Art De Vivre (French for “Art Of Living”) Botanical Art Wedding Inspiration shoot brought to life botanical beauties as a form of living art. It highlights the art form that is Mother Nature – from amazing bouquets to carefully woven botanical jewels.
With photographer Susie Yang Photography behind the lens, Botanic and Bloom Floral Design with the blooms, a magic cake by The Sweetest Dreams, a dreamy gown by White Lily Couture worn by Tyarra Nelson and a sparkle of gold from Gold Wedding Hire and a feast by Grate Life Cafe, it all unfolded at the eclectic Entangle – Living Art space.
From the neutral space filled with soft sage green and peach to the electric gallery space with dark wood, taper candles and jewel tones, the shoot captures the romance of the setting and highlights the natural design of the botanical elements.
Floral designer Casey of Botanic and Bloom Floral Design explains, “Stemming from my explorations as a sustainable floral artist and seeking a modern and interesting alternative to more traditional floral jewellery, I have been working on designing a collection of living botanical jewels, this shoot is the culmination of 12 months of creative design, testing, growing and sourcing just the right mix of succulents to bring my vision to life.” She adds “The beauty of botanical jewellery is not only in its sustainable origins but it is ever more intriguing than a standard ring or bracelet. Being fresh products, each leaf and plant is beautiful in its own unique shape and colour, creating a truly one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art. I select and place each leaf and specimen like a living puzzle of miniature proportion.”
