Angela & Rob

Angela and Rob’s vintage Laurelville Manor York wedding fell on a gorgeous Spring day, featuring fields of wildflowers and elegant personal touches. Photographer Tanya Voltchanskaya was present to capture the details, and we love every single moment!

Telling of how their romance began, Angela shares, ”When I was studying I worked in a restaurant where Rob was the manager. We had some drinks after work one night and Rob gave me a lift home. Instead of taking me home he took me back to his house for more drinks – what a smooth fella!”

Angela took her time finding her dream dress, saying, ”It took me a good while to find something that wasn’t overly ‘bridey’ – I went dress shopping in physical shops and they were all too elaborate! Karen from Lace Bridal was amazing to deal with and very talented, I was super happy with my dress.”

The groom wore a clean cut navy suit with a floral Noose & Monkey bowtie and Rob’s sister, his ‘groomsmaid’, found her dress at ASOS. The bride walked down the aisle to a cover of ‘One Thousand Years’ by the Piano Guys.

Wanting to keep things simple during the ceremony, Angela and Rob were delighted with their celebrant Kate Fenton. The bride shares, ”We loved sitting down to sign the papers. That feeling of ‘it’s happening!’ hit us and we had a little moment together.” The bride and groom also managed some time to themselves, with Angela sharing, ”Sneaking away to the manor just after the ceremony was really special, just to take a moment to reflect on what had happened – it goes so fast!”

Photographer Tanya Voltchanskaya took the couple up to Mount Brown amongst the Spring wildflowers for their portraits. Angela remembers, ”Tanya really understood what kind of memories we wanted captured for the day. We were both in awe of her talent, and we couldn’t be happier with how our photos have come out!”

Laurelville Manor was recommended to the couple by Ultimo, the bride and groom’s chosen caterer. Angela shares, ”The venue was very elegant and luxurious, plus our family got to have a weekend away! Everything turned out incredibly well, we were blown away. The decor looked stunning, the food was amazing and everyone had such a great time – which was exactly what we wanted!”

The bride and groom enjoyed being able to send their guests home with a memento, and loved how popular the Complete DJ photo booth was. Angela and Rob also had a remembrance table featuring a small bouquet for Rob’s Mum.

Congratulations to our gorgeous bride and groom on their wedding, thank you for sharing your beautiful day! Thank you also to photographer Tanya Voltchanskaya for every stunning image!
