A beach location is always a favourite among honeymoon-goers planning their adventure, whether it be for lounging underneath the sun by turquoise waters, or seeking underwater and above-water thrills to pass the day away. In most cases, these beaches are popular among the locals and tourists alike, so it’s only natural to want to find something a little more private to spend your honeymoon on. Listed here are five of many spectacular beaches that offer just that: privacy. So have a browse, pack up your picnic basket, and expect to spend your honeymoon in your own paradise.

Stonehole Beach, Bermuda
Bermuda’s South Shore is widely known for its incredible array of picture-perfect beaches. For something privately peaceful, pack up your basket, grab a blanket, and head straight for Stonehole Beach. It’s a little bit of a hike, but the views and the seclusion make it all the more worth it. Like the other coves in the area, the beach is edged in limestone rock that are perfect for exploration. But if you prefer, there’s also the calm and shallow water. So when you’re ready, take some wine, cheese, and crackers and picnic the day away on the pink sand of Bermuda’s private beach.

For somewhere to stay between picnics, consider the Fairmont Southampton Resort, Newstead Belmont Hills Golf Resort and Spa or The Reefs Resort.

Anse Macquereau, Fregate Island, Seychelles
In most cases of private beaches across the world, it’s a matter of wishing on luck and depending on chance that the beach is completely your own, but with the Anse Macquereau beach in Seychelles, you have a guarantee that the beach will be private. The beautifully secluded area lies waiting for just you and your significant other. Reserve the beach at one of the many resorts surrounding the area and enjoy sunbathing, natural shade, and clear waters all to yourselves. This small beach is the perfect option for a private picnic against spectacular scenery (everything about this beach is simply breathtaking!), so be sure to add it to the bucket list!

For somewhere to stay close by with easy access to the private beach, consider Fregate Island Private Luxury Island Resort or have a look through SeyVillas.

Cow Wreck Beach, Anegada, British Virgin Islands
As the only coral island on the British Virgin Islands, Anegada is popular among visitors for its incredible coral reefs, clear springs and coral beds, and the abundance of secluded beaches. For something more specific, consider the tranquil Cow Wreck Beach. The famously turquoise-blue waters mix pleasantly with the peach-coloured sand of the beach to create a breathtaking environment. Cow Wreck Beach is a long stretch of sand, and although the area is mostly empty, if you find that there is one or two more people occupying the area, don’t give up hope—just walk a little further down the track and set up somewhere a little more private.

Accommodation in the area of this secluded beach includes Anegada Beach Club, Anegada Reef Hotel and Neptune’s Treasures Hotel.

Matira Beach, Bora Bora
When we think of incredible sandy beaches and clear, turquoise waters, it’s hard to go past Bora Bora, which is why we couldn’t leave it off this list. Most of the beaches on the island are privately owned, so it’s just a matter of finding the perfect resort to spend the time in between picnic adventures on the tropical beaches. Matira Beach is one of the most spectacular – and as it’s a mile long, it’s not hard to find a private spot for a picnic. Look for other beaches along this stretch too. Just pack up some supplies and go for a walk. Don’t forget to take a ton of photos!
