When we think of the sea, pastels and airy tones come to mind, but today’s moody seaside wedding inspiration takes those pastels and turns them on their head. Deep slate blues, beautiful marsala all combine with glimmering golds and soft peaches to the most beautiful wedding inspiration for couples wanting something a little deeper for their wedding day colour palette.
Lina of Chanele Rose Flowers & Styling who styled the shoot and also created the stunning floral arrangements, tells “We were originally inspired by the natural elements of the sandstone walls and jade blue tones of the ocean and wanted to combine these earthy elements into the styling of our setting. Fresh scallop shells were used together with clay pots filled with lush blooms and luminous infused natural lighting.”
Drawing from nature the team curated a setting of natural elements. Scallop shells sat atop concrete tables, rustic wooden doors juxtaposed with sparkling gold taper candles to create a sense of warmth and intimacy.
The shoot was a huge collaborative effort between Lina and photographer Silk Truffle Photography , cinematographer In a Maze Films , hair and makeup artist Gemma Nichols with our model Madeline Sarah in beautiful bridal pieces from The Barefaced Bride, Candice Lee and Roman & French – with props from Pretty Pedestals and Designs By Wayne . The team, who had to move their shoot from the beach thanks to Mother Nature’s rainy weather, created a beautiful romantic setting that made that stormy seaside setting I love so much, come to life.
The finishing touch? A beautiful film captured by the team at In a Maze Films
Such a beautiful pictures. photography is challenging when you shoot around sands, because it is important to capture the sand tones yet show the clarity of the weddings.
Bravo, In a Maze
