There is a certain magic to this moody Spanish convent wedding inspiration shoot today. A candlelit elopement, the long abandoned walls setting the most beautiful backdrop for a special love story that unfolds among masses of greenery of flowers and decadent details.
The beauty of a deserted Spanish Convent is restored with the work of a dream team. Planned and styled by Sweet Emotion, with photography by Lorena Carnero and Like A Whisper. The team worked with floral designer Espacios Verdes, fashion stylist Azucena Ordoñez, cake designer Muchachita Pastelería hair and makeup artist Six with beautiful pieces from Alicia Rueda, Viceversa and Cuplé Logroño.
Stylist Garcia of Sweet Emotion, tells “The shoot talks about an unconditional love, under no conventionalism, breaking the rules. Love without additive, pure and clean, an “I-just-care-about-you” love, where you only need to prove to that single person, and to nobody else, why is the one you want to come along with on the adventure of life. It talks about a crazy evening when they decided to run away from “anyplace” to find “their place”. They ended up in an old abandoned convent and decided that, below those century-old ceilings, in the privacy and silence of those stone walls, with the wild nature coming through those broken windows as alone, they would join, match the beat of their both hearts, treasuring their separate souls, but entrusting one to each other.”
The bride surprises her groom at the mezzanine of the old monastery. Surrounded by candlelight, their vows unfold.
A table for two is set for a feast – cake is of course on the menu.
On the style of photography used for the shoot, captured by Lorena Carnero and Like A Whisper, our duo remark “The shooting style meant to be a balance between wild nature and delicacy of detail, between sensuality of lights and shadows, a style that comes from the use of space and integration with these same.”
