Our latest Polka Dot Bride shoot was all about jewel toned elegant bridesmaid gowns with the addition of beautiful greenery. Perfect for cooler months or more formal weddings, the deep hues of our bridesmaid gowns give a different take on the mismatched trend and our decadent garlands of greenery and greenery bouquets compliment the magnificent space with industrial style cement tables and amazing copper chairs.
Our amazing Polka Dot vendor dream team of photographer gm photographics, fashion stylist and coordinator Katherine Eleyce (Ms Filigree), decor stylist, furniture rental, stationer and florist Form Over Function, hair and makeup artist Amy Chan and bridesmaids salon Bridesmaids Only took to the amazing venue of The Refectory (Host Co – University of Sydney) worked with models Rachel Billing, Christina Sergi and Danielle Hancock and accessory designers Fletcher and Grace, Rubi Shoes and Wanted Shoes to pull this shoot together.
I adore so much about this shoot – for me, greenery is often the poorer cousin of fresh flowers and with the stunning garland that drapes along our cement table, sparkle added with natural birch candle holders and the glimmering copper chairs, the greenery took centre stage. Our bridesmaids coordinate beautifully, in an unexpected way with deep saturated tones and shimmering sparkles. And that historic venue with the grand murals? It adds a sense of drama to the space.
