Rhiannon & Dan
I love a good engagement party. It has a sense of spontaneity about it, of fresh, new celebration and new beginnings and today’s relaxed garden engagement party captured by One Day Somewhere Photography. The couple chose to hire their photographer not only for their engagement party, but a mini engagement photo session in the middle.
Dan and Rhiannon note, “We didn’t necessarily chose a ‘style’ for our engagement shoot. We wanted our photos to be natural, candid, and to avoid the staged-type photos.”
Rhiannon and Dan tell how they met. “We first met at a friend’s fundraiser, where it was at the time flooding and Dan kindly gave Rhiannon a piggy back ride home to keep her dry and safe. At the time, we were living in different cities, but kept in regular contact. Eventually, we became united together and are living happily ever after!”
The proposal happened on a normal day, Rhiannon and Dan remembering, “Dan asked Rhiannon to marry him on her birthday. She came home from a regular day at work, was going about her afternoon as she usually would. As Rhiannon walked up the stairs singing one of her favourite songs to herself, came to the door and it was locked, which was a bit unusual. As she opened the door and walked around the corner, there was Dan, on one knee. Rhiannon immediately screamed “what are you doing!?” in shock and dropped all of her things. Dan then said “Will you?”, and she screamed “yes!!” ”
“There are too many funny relationship stories to name, most of which should probably not be made public. To name a few though: Dance offs, funny imitations of each other, exclusive sayings/quotes, ski lift accident, making sure one of us is the responsible one at an event (and to take the other one home), and the skydiving weekend.”
