In a world full of external influences, it is beautiful to see an incredible inspiration shoot based on the stunning backdrop of Australian bushland. Today’s shoot was inspired by the concept of Australian glamping wedding inspiration. A concept for a modern couple with an adventurous side and an intimate guest list, the team of very talented wedding vendors created a shoot that didn’t just work with the Australian bushland backdrop, it captured it into a wedding that could be nature inspired and relaxed while being absolutely beautiful.
The shoot, taking place at the foot in the beautiful Darling Downs at Spicers Canopy brought together a team of Studio Sixty Photography, Green and Bloom,Prop It Pretty, Rebecca Anthony Hair and Makeup, Floralovely, When Freddie Met Lily and models Kelly Mansfield and Broeden Moppas.
The concept of having your guests stay on site is completely possible at eco-friendly Spicers Canopy. The resort is far from your usual, with guests sleeping in tents, but the little luxuries are still there. Beautiful toiletries, comfy king beds with luxury linens, deck chairs and even electric lamps! Guests can stay together, explore together and roast marshmallows on the bonfire together before joining in the celebrations of a wedding.
Hair & makeup artist Rebecca Anthony Hair and Makeup created two looks for the shoot using all Australian made, natural eco products.
Roberta of Green and Bloom not only styled the shoot but also create the floral arrangements using Australian grown, locally sourced flowers, even including some from her own garden! Lush roses, amaranthus, berries, nuts and pods in shades of red, pink and plum were all combined with beautiful greenery to give a bit of glam to the Australian look.
Oh that tablescape! Green and Bloom and Prop It Pretty pulled together a table of raw linen in a dark grey, with rusted charger plates to contrast against garlands of greenery, red, pink and white flowers and glass crystal candlesticks with white taper candles.
Floralovely created a gorgeous stationery suite in tones of gold and white. A recycled kraft paper enveloped addressed in beautifully calligraphy using white ink while the stationery itself was written in gold ink on handmade paper (laden with petals and seeds). The finishing touch to tie into the Australian setting was gum leaf place cards written on in gold ink.
When Freddie Met Lily supplied the three gorgeous gowns and tuxedo for the shoot, with Studio Sixty Photography making the most of the incredible backdrops and shooting in a style that picked up the natural beauty of the surroundings.
Spicers Canopy is a little different to a traditional resort. Guests sleep in designer tents complete with polished floorboards, luxury linen, beside tables (complete with lamps!) and comfy armchairs (as well as private decks with deck chairs). Talk about taking your guests glamping in style!
When Freddie Met Lily also supplied a black tuxedo and bow tie for the “groom” who added a selection of mismatched buttonholes by Green and Bloom in deep, rich tones and finished off with velvet ribbons.
The last look took a stunning poppy red lace gown from When Freddie Met Lily with a pink and red fresh floral crown by Green and Bloom using a mix of in-season beauties like Peonies, Roses, Lisianthus, Orchids, and Amaranthus.
