I love a good collaboration and today’s is pretty darn special ! Couture designer Gwendolynne teamed up with jeweller Julia DeVille and florist Wona Bae of Loose Leaf to create a series of photographs titled “Contemporary Heirlooms”.
Debuting a new collection of Julia De Ville’s engagement and wedding rings with their intricacy and the attention to detail that each designer treasures and respects. Styled and photographed by Gwendolynne, the shoot captures the sparkling detail of Gwendolynne gowns next to the sparkling beauty of Julia’s engagement rings. The floral arrangements, by Wona Bae were chosen with the thought they are able to be dried and preserved allowing floral arrangements to also become heirlooms.
The magic of these heirlooms is not lost on the trio, who all work to create pieces that speak of times gone by and the magic of what is yet to come. Choosing to take time and care, ditching the consumerist ideals and instead creating life long pieces that are able to be passed down time and time again from beautiful materials.
