Tara & Denis
Tara and Denis chose a Summer Yacht Club wedding to celebrate their nuptials. It was so hot on Tara and Denis’ wedding day that their beach ceremony had to be moved inside and yet, as with most love stories – it was still the most beautiful celebration of their relationship. Tara and Denis chose Christian Marc Photography to capture their day.
The groom and groomsmen wore Oxford pants and shirts from Rhodes & Beckett and suspenders from Sweet N Swag.
Tara chose an embellished gown from Anna Campbell her bridesmaids in soft apricot dresses from Bariano.
Tara and Denis chose a first look before the ceremony, noting, “As we were seeing each other before the wedding ceremony, it was suggested to us that we should do a ‘first look’. This was by far the most memorable part of the day. Both of us well up when we see the photos of that moment as it brought back such wonderful memories.”
Of their photographers, Tara tells, “Our photographer Christian Marc and his wife Shani were definite standouts. They made us feel comfortable on the day and also prior to the wedding day on the pre-wedding shoot. They treated us with respect and were able to joke around with us so that we would relax. His casual approach was that of a friend rather than a stranger taking our photos. We appreciated that. The coverage Christian and Shani provided on the day was exceptional and they certainly went above and beyond what we expected.”
Tara and Denis were married at Sandringham Yacht Club, Tara explaining, “We started off with a choice of two themes for our wedding. Initially, we wanted to have a marquee wedding in a winery and so we drove around (what felt like) Victoria looking for the perfect location/winery. Unfortunately, due to the number of guests we were anticipating our budget did not allow for that. We then decided to have a beach themed wedding and we came across the Sandringham Yacht Club. It was perfect. It had beautiful floor to ceiling windows with panoramic views of Port Philip Bay. We were very excited to have our wedding there and after a lot driving around, searching for the right venue, we knew that this was the place for us to celebrate our wedding day.”
The day was so hot, the ceremony had to be moved indoors.
Vindya Cakes created the soft apricot coloured wedding cake. “Our wedding cake was delicious! We chose a raspberry and white chocolate cake that was to die for. It was not too sweet, it looked how we wanted it to look and it was a hit with everyone at the party. Tara notes “We made our own invitations, our own seating plan and our own welcome table. We had a vision regarding our invitations and we made it come to life. It was very rewarding too because everyone thought our invitations were cute and creative.”
One Wedding Wish styled the wedding, the bride noting, “They were very patient with us as we tried to explain what we wanted for our wedding styling theme. They were also very flexible with our changing minds and they were very nice people to work with. ” Circle of Love Weddings coordinated the celebrations.
Congratulations Tara and Denis! Thank you for sharing your day with us! Thank you also to Christian Marc Photography for sharing today’s wedding with us.
All of that intricate detailing made for an epic wedding gown for Tara! Love your work Anna Campbell 🙂
