Classic Garden Wedding Inspiration

A classic garden wedding inspiration never fails to make me smile – something about the beautiful backdrop Mother Nature provides creates such a beautiful spot for a wedding. Today’s shoot, titled “Magnolia” is inspired by the classic glamour of yesteryear. Sparkling French chandeliers,  elegant couture gowns, tarnished vintage silver, crystal cut vessels and beautiful blooming magnolia trees all set the scene for a beautiful, classic garden celebration.

Photographer Kirsty Duchet teamed up with Melonie Santos Makeup Artist, Platinum Perfection, Oh Perfect Day, Flowers In A Vase and Dessert Diva  at Mount Macedon venue Cameron Lodge Cottage & Gardens, Kirsty telling, “Magnolia Bride was inspired by the glorious magnolias of Mt Macedon’s Cameron Lodge – one of Australia’s oldest hill station gardens – and set against a backdrop of spring blooms, ancient tree canopies and impressive period architecture.”

And the gowns? Oh the gowns are the crowning glory of the glamour garden wedding inspiration. Beautiful creations from designers Anna Campbell, Gwendolynne, Jane Hill, Jason Grech and Karen Willis Holmes. Long sleeve sheaths, beaded bodices, classic ball gowns, gowns made of lace and dramatic Victorian-esque collars bring the feature back to an old world feel.

Flowers In A Vase, created the floral arrangements with a focus on greenery and soft pink florals. The simple white candle arm chairs from Oh Perfect Day adorned in trailing blooms creating an utterly romantic feel to the ceremony.

A worn white painted table was topped with vintage tarnished silver goblets, cut crystal glassware, tall taper candles from Oh Perfect Day are dotted amongst plenty of pink and white flowers. A stand of macarons from Dessert Diva is the finishing, sweetest touch.

Melonie Santos Makeup Artist created a fresh faced look with deep red lips while Platinum Perfection created relaxed, vintage style hair styles.
