Lee & Josh
Lee and Josh’s modern Brisbane wedding has such a fresh, warm feeling to it one might swear it was held in Summer, but no this August wedding managed to evoke all the sherbet and citrus colours of Summer along with picture perfect weather and an equally beautiful celebration full of macarons cheese and of course kisses! Kelly Adams Photographer was there to capture it all!
Lee remembers the story of how they came to be. “We don’t have an overly special story -we met through mutual friends in Tassie and Josh asked me out on a dinner date and our relationship blossomed from there. We have been together for six years and going out for dinner is still one of our favourite things to do.”
Lee chose a gown by Anna Campbell and accessorised it with her grandmother’s bracelets.
Lee and Josh met before the ceremony for a first look and photographs, Lee remembering, “Seeing each other and doing our bridal portraits before the ceremony was so much fun.”
Of their photographer, Lee says, “Kelly Adams our photographer is a truly beautiful person with an amazing talent. Kelly was the first photographer I saw and after we met her we knew she would be perfect. Kelly has the most amazing nature and made us feel so comfortable on our wedding day I am still pinching myself about how lucky we are to have found her and to have so many amazing pictures to choose from blew us away.”
Lee and Josh chose Victoria Park Golf Course for their wedding, Lee telling, “Victoria Park Golf Course was the perfect venue we loved having three different venues in one. We got married in the Garden Marquee, then we had cocktails, cheese and macaroons in the retro Orchard Marquee and then our sit down reception was in the Grand Ballroom with the beautiful big chandeliers. The food was also amazing! ”
Lee walked down the aisle to John Legend – All of Me. The bride remembering, “We had a couple of hiccups on the day, our ceremony song didn’t work five minutes before I had to walk down the aisle but luckily my bridesmaid had downloaded it on her phone!!”
Lee tells, “We did all of our own styling and DIY, Josh made our wedding arch and we brought all of our decorations, we wanted it to be really romantic all white with lots of flowers and candles.”
Guests enjoyed cheese and macarons from Marche De Macarons with cocktails post ceremony.
For dinner, guests moved into the grand ballroom decorated with white blooms and sparkling chandeliers. Lee’s mum made white crochet bunting which decorated the bridal table.
Lee remembers, “Our first dance was to Elvis Presley – Can’t help falling in love with you. We both have a love for Elvis and this song was perfect for our first dance. We danced together for the first 30 seconds and we then invited our family and friends on the dance floor with us, Josh was a bit shy and we really wanted to share our first dance with our family and friends too.”
Congratulations on your marriage Lee & Josh! Thank you for sharing your day with us! Thank you to Kelly Adams Photographer for sharing today’s wedding with us!
