Happy Monday Dotties! October, what a big month for weddings it is! It’s the time of year when we’re so excited to be diving into each and evry bit of wedding celebrations beause it’s Spring and people are happy and nuptials are happening and kitchen teas and pre wedding aprties are aplenty. Celebration is fun isn’t it?
Before we kick off our own week of happy wedding inspiration it’s time to highlight, spotlight and show off the members of Ms Polka Dot’s Directory. We have Catering, we have Menswear, we even have Transport! We work really hard to get vendors on board who are lovely – the kind who get excited about your plans and share a glass of champagne with you while discussing them!
Check out Ms Polka Dot’s Directory for wedding vendors who will love your wedding as much as you!
We’re always looking for unique and different venues and Melbourne’s Red Scooter is certainly different! This warehouse style space is located in Balaclava and has a huge number of different spaces to choose from for your wedding- or you can combine them all to hold 300 guests! The venue is a one stop shopping – serving up delicious food for guests (and even utilising their fun stations so guests can get a different taste of everything!) They can even do environmentally sustainable catering and kosher friendly!
Red Scooter has a number of setups that can really make a wedding unique – cross tables for an intimate number of guests, different ceremony setups, different rooms, different styling. It truly is as blank canvas ready to be made yours!
We asked Eamonn of Red Scooter five questions in five minutes –
What is your favourite after five drink?
Red Scooter signature frozen strawberry daiquiri .
Your favourite weekend getaway?
The snow during winter and boating during warmer months.
Favourite restaurant?
Ilona Staller on Carlisle Street. Beautiful menu and great friendly service.
What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?
Traditional egg & bacon breakfast always does the trick .
Your favourite wedding story?
We had a couple recently who had a few spare spots on their guest list so rather than inviting distant relatives who they never see or random Facebook friends, they decided to advertise on Gumtree for some wedding crashers. They received an overwhelming number of responses and even gained the attention of several TV and radio stations. The requirements of wedding crashers was no vegans, most enjoy a drink and be prepared for a dance with grandma. The many responses were narrowed down to four guests and everyone had a great time!
