Bridal fashion week October 2014 has come and gone and as feet are rested and the glamour fades we are left with the stunning photos. I’ll be bringing you more over the coming weeks but today we’re sharing Australian designer Johanna Johnson‘s latest bridal market runway show! Launching “Startlet”, the Spring Summer 2015 collection, the runway was full of the decadent vintage glamour of Hollywood that is Johanna’s signature.
The liquid vintage ivory satins in clean, V neck bias gown gowns are old favourites from the designer, but were accentuated with hues of bright red and panels of navy blue. The introduction of a beautiful Wedgwood blue also added a sense of dimension and stunning versatility to this collection, each gown as appropriate for a red carpet as it is for walking down the aisle.
My favourites though are the beaded detailing – the capes that shimmer and move with the wearer,s body as each beaded strand catches the breeze. The glittering gold skirts that move with the feminine form, not against it.
Johanna Johnson gowns are available at their Paddington boutique, and selected boutiques through the USA, Canada, UK & Ireland.
