In the last of our food truck roundups (for now!) we’re hitting up the food trucks and vans in South Australia! Adelaide has quite the little bevvy of delicious treats served from carts and vans and they’re definitely wedding friendly! These are the trucks who responded to our call outs, so if you know more – leave them below!

Tacocat

For the taco lovers, let’s kick it off with Tacocat! Suitable for smaller functions, Tacocat serve up three different kinds ( Beef, chicken and a vegetarian option) of soft shell tacos. The tacos are all gluten free  and pricing starts at $15-$17 per head depending on the menu based on 100 people or more. Tacos not enough? They also offer blue corn quesadillas and Mexican wedding cookies!

Burger Theory

There’s nothing like a good burger and here’s where Burger Theory can step in to cater! Serving up Burgers, burritos and fries, they can cater to large groups (100 people an hour) and each serve is made fresh to order. The minimum hire is priced at $1700 and there’s a $300 fee for locations 20km+ from CBD.

Chimney Cake Station

If sweet treats are more your thing then the Chimney Cake Station might be for you! Serving up traditional Hungarian Kurtosh Kalach (chimney cakes), Chimney Cake Station specialise in weddings! They only use natural ingredients and can even serve up other other traditional Hungarian/European baked products (how’s that for an afternoon tea wedding?). The minimum spend is $700+GST for a four hour long event in Adelaide CBD area.

Cupcakes Please

Fancy a cupcake delivery? Meet Cupcakes Please! Adelaide’s first cupcake truck! So many delicious flavors (Sticky date? check! Chocolate? check!) and they’ll do private functions! Just ask!

Myrtle & Mae

The sweetest little van there ever was –  Myrtle & Mae will serve your guests hot/cold beverages, cocktail food and gourmet picnics – it’s up to you! I love this sweet van for fresh, cold lemonade or hot cups of coffee! Beverage packages start at $300 for one hour including 50 drinks.

Their canape and sweet treats (think cakes, brownies and sweet goodness!) packages start at $18pp for a light refreshment package through to the $30pp for the more extensive beverage, canape and cheese paddle package.

Phat Buddha Rolls

Fancy some Asian cuisine? Phat Buddha Rolls serves up Cambodian-style meat and vegetarian rolls. They offer gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options – working with you to create a custom menu for your function! They have the capacity to serve 1000 people with a minimum of 30. Hire starts at $1500.

Royal Copenhagen Icecream Cart

The cart can serve six flavors of icecream or gelato and cater to 1000 people! Pricing is based on guest numbers – from 50-100 guests starts at $900 and raises to $2300 for 500+ guests.

Wienerbago

Wienerbago Food Truck

For hot dog lovers, let me tell you about Wienerbago! They can serve 70-80 hot dogs and hour with private hire starting at $450. They base their menu on German cuisine, serving up delicious kranskys, hotdogs and Viennas.

Low Slow American BBQ

Low Slow American BBQ is just the ticket for a hearty feast! They can serve up two menu options and require a minimum of 90 guests. Pricing starts at $12 per person. When I say hearty – think pulled pork and beef brisket burgers, potato salad, mash potato, beef rib sandwiches. Oh it’s a feast alright!
