I remember the first time I came across the gorgeous creations of New York designer Alexandra Grecco. My friend had just returned from a trip to New York with the most stunning of tutus (or if we’re being grown up, tulle skirt!) I kept the tab open in my browser for weeks, trying to justify the purchase but I never quite got there. So when Alexandra Grecco‘s name popped up as a designer of wedding gowns, you can bet I was all over it and even more excited to see her name in my inbox last week!
Seeking a wedding gown for her own 2013, designer Alexandra set about creating a bridal line combining her love of the 1930’s, combining high quality, beautiful fabrics such as Italian nylon tulle and silk chiffon with intricate embroidery. The collection showcasing soft shades of dove grey, pistachio, apricot and of course, ivory. While the collection focuses on floor length gowns, Alexandra has also added separates to the mix – the Lya tulle skirt is made from 2 layers of lightweight Italian nylon tulle and 1 layer of silk lining and can kept simple with the Esra silk cami or made more formal with the Cordelia blouse adorned with silver and white beading.
The gowns are made to order in New York City and all able to be shipped to Australia. A portion of the proceeds from each gown will be donated to a New York City-based charitable organization focused on assisting low-income women.
Beautiful!
The wedding gowns are all adoring, I love the first one most.
