Nadia and Cam
I would have loved to have been a guest at Nadia and Cam’s wedding. Nadia rocked her red frames, they got married in a cave and guests received rings hidden inside a pinata as wedding favors. What could be more fun? Their day was so expertly captured by the lovely Samara Clifford.
On how they met, Nadia and Cam tel,l “We met on a swing dance floor, in a crummy bar in Northbridge, in 2006.”
Trenna Kerr (Nadia’s sister) created the stationery for the day. Along with plenty of other details also created by Nadia’s sisters – not least of which included the decorations, tables, save the dates and pinatas!
Nadia wore a gown from Jasmine’s Bridal and her bridesmaids wore different dresses from Rodeo Show.
The groom dressed in a suit from Institchu and the groomsmen in ASOS. Nadia’s mother made the bow ties and ties for the gents!
Nadia and Cam chose Wavehouse, Injidup for their wedding location, marrying inside the natural cave ampitheatre. Nadia walked down the aisle to Wild is the Wind – Cat Power.
Nadia describes the day as, “A rustic, rural fiesta in an amazing spot, with almost all our favourite people.”
Laurissa Knowles performed the ceremony.
Chic Rustique styled the floral arrangements for the day.
Of their photographer, Nadia tells, “Sam is an old school friend of Cam’s. Which is to say they’ve known one another forever. But we couldn’t think of anyone better for the gig – and can’t imagine how she could have done a better job.”
Of their venue, the newlyweds tell, “There’s a natural amphitheatre on one side of the property, and incredible ocean views to the other, and wedged in between is a slightly odd, wee-bit-shabby tiki themed house.”
Guests played a handmade Mexican game of breaking a pinata, which was filled with rings – guests adorned with glitzy jewels as wedding favors.
Nadia notes, “We loved that we were able to share that with a great many of the people we love, some of whom who’d made a terrific effort to be there. (Phil this is not you – we know you flew Business Class)”.
Of their first dance, the couple tell, “This one was yet more swing dancin, and to frightfully saucy I Want a Little Sugar in My Bowl by Nina Simone.”
Congratulations on your wedding Nadia and Cam! Thank you for sharing your day with us! Thank you also to Samara Clifford for sharing today’s celebration!
