Gosh the days are getting shorter, the weather a little chillier – oh yes, it is my favourite time of year! We had a very exciting week last week at Polka Dot HQ and hopefully we can share that soon, but in the mean time I am ready to dive into beautiful wedding inspiration- from gowns, to real weddings and everything in between. It’s a mighty fine job being a wedding blogger!

Monday morning tradition at Polka Dot Bride is to showcase how incredible the members of Ms Polka Dot’s Directory are.  From Entertainment to get your guests grooving on the dance floor, Cakes to cut and devour, Stationery & Paper Goods to invite the most special of people in your life, Venues to celebrate at and Photography to capture it all! We’re growing our Directory every day and would love for you to check it out and find an amazing vendor you love!

The first impression of your celebration starts with your stationery – so let me introduce you to our vendor of the week, wedding stationer B Studio Wedding Invitations! Creative director Belinda is passionate about creating beautiful wedding stationery- each piece is handmade by her, having started her business in 2009 and is built upon a knowledge and her desire to give every wedding that personal touch.

We asked Belinda from B Studio Wedding Invitations five questions in five minutes –

What is your favourite after five drink?

Sweet and fruity cocktails are always a winner for me.

Your favourite weekend getaway?

A place my hubby and I like to retreat to every once in a while, is The Bower in Broulee, on the south coast of NSW. They have cosy little private cabins nestled amongst natural bushland. It’s great for getting away from the demands and distractions of everyday life, and spending quality time together as a couple. It’s nice to wake up and have brekkie or a cup of tea, with the forest right in front of you and hearing nothing but the occasional chirping of birds.

Favourite restaurant?

I’m a big fan of Japanese cuisine. Can never say no to a good bowl of ramen (Ippudo and Ryo’s are both currently my favourite ramen joints) although my all-time favourite Japanese restaurant would have to be Nobu in Melbourne’s Crown casino.

What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?

I love a big Aussie brekkie or alternatively an omelette with roasted tomatoes, chorizo and basil.

Your favourite wedding story?

Working in the wedding industry is wonderful, as I’m often privy to the beautiful love/wedding stories told to me by my clients. I might be a little biased but my fave wedding moment would have to be from my own wedding 4 years ago. It was quite a sunny day and my hubby and I had a garden ceremony where we took our vows directly under the sun. The heat (and nerves) must have got to us, because when our celebrant announced that it was time to exchange rings, I ended up putting my husband’s ring on the wrong finger! It was quite a funny moment, with our celebrant saying that she hadn’t seen that happen before! I still have family and friends mentioning that incident to this day. At least it was a moment to remember!
