Zoe and Jason

Zoe and Jason wanted their wedding to be relaxed and fun and after choosing the Macedon Ranges for their big day they set about planning a celebration that truly suited their personalities. Kirralee Ashworth captured the beautiful moments.

As for how they came to be, Zoe tells the story. “We met as teenagers. A surprise engagement in August 2012 where Jason proposed on a bended knee in our home.”

Zoe chose a gown by Anaessia with a tulle skirt. Lady B Paperie created the stationery suite for the wedding featuring bright, Spring florals.

Flowers in a Vase by Arnie Way styled the bride’s pastel toned bouquet.

Roombas @ Mount Aitken hosted the wedding, Zoe telling, “Our ceremony and reception were held at Roombas @ Mount Aitken. A homestead-styled winery made of bluestone sourced from the streets of Port Melbourne. Exposed beams (dated 1884, from Dalgety Wool Store), wood paneling, and French provincial décor.”

Zoe walked down the aisle to Angus and Julia Stone “Bella”played by Four Season String Quartet. Festoon light and white flowers decorated the ceremony space.

In remembrance of their grandparents who have passed away, Zoe and Jason lit a memorial candle.

Zoe and Jason’s family and friends made the day as beautiful as it could be for them, Zoe remarking, “Being able to share our day with our closest family and friends including spending time relaxing and getting ready with our families before the wedding.”

Of their photographer, Zoe remarks, “Kirralee Ashworth’s photos truly tell the story of our wedding. Her style is very natural and vintage which suited the theme of our wedding. Kirralee’s easy going personality was most pleasant to be around, most of the time we didn’t even know she was there.”

Blackbird Cakes made a three tier wedding cake and had it topped with fresh blooms.

Zoe notes, “Our wedding was a true reflection of our personalities – relaxed and fun.”

Of their first dance, the newlyweds tell, “We danced to  Vance Joy – Emmylou. Jason chose this song whilst we were at a concert and immediately upon hearing it said to Zoe – “I want this as our wedding song”.”

Congratulations on your marriage Zoe and Jason. Thank you to Kirralee Ashworth for sharing today’s lovely images.
