Nicole & Rob

Nicole and Rob celebrated their wedding with a modern, all white wedding – from Nicole’s incredible gown, to blossoming lights hanging from their modern reception venue Luminare. The day itself was stunning and the moments inside each photo captured by Joseph Koprek bring it to life.

Nicole tells the story of their relationship. “Rob and I met when I was 15, he was 17 at a local restaurant. We both had friends that knew each other. He managed to get my mobile number and we spent endless hours speaking over the phone and catching up at the same local restaurant. 10 years later… Rob proposed. I am a primary school teacher and he had organised with the principal to come in whilst I was teaching… It was the biggest biggest surprise I have had in my life. My class cheered and it was a special place to propose – took a lot of guts!! We had a cocktail engagement party which was an insight into my wedding. I was very lucky a girlfriend of mine from a Three Piece Suit offered her help in bringing together my vision.”

The groom and groomsmen wore black tie with suits from Calibre.

Nicole’s incredible wedding gown was made by Annette of Melbourne Couture and paired with Yves Saint Laurent shoes.

Melissa De Nardis and Rachelle Pantalleresco (0401 574 128) styled the bride and bridesmaid’s makeup, Nicole remembering “My sister in law and cousin are the best makeup artists in Melbourne- without trials both of them ensured that the girls looked beautiful radiant and glowed. It was important to us that we looked natural, I just wanted to look like I normally do! They achieved this look and no one looked like a cake face out in the sunlight! They enhanced my beautiful bridesmaids and mothers natural beauties!  Trial or no trial… They know what to do!

Kristina Simeoni (0413 236 982) and Renee Camillieri (0402 689 766) styled the bride and bridesmaid’s hair. Nicole says, “Kristina is my hairdresser on a regular basis – I have the thickest hair and most hair stylists do not want to attempt it! I really wanted to look natural, I wanted my hair down but because it is so thick and we had to ensure product and style was right to last the day! Kristina just knows how to work it and provided the service of touching up and making sure it was fresh just before the reception!! Her colleague Renee was just as good and took part in the excitement of the morning!”

Nicole tells, “Our bridal party, the groomsmen were so much fun and ensured Rob and I had such a fun time at the wedding but also in the lead up. My bridesmaids were sensation, indescribable! From organising a hens party of 30 on a trip to Sydney to the most beautiful kitchen tea party styled by Daniela Failla (0432 446 021) the girls really went out of their way to make everything have a wow factor! Having my identical twin sister Julia as my made of honour was just a given – no one could share what we do. There was not a photo that she didn’t fix my hair for or check over my whole dress. The girls attended all fittings and really enjoyed the planning of my wedding!”

Nicole and Rob were married at St Patrick’s Cathedral. Nicole walked down the aisle to Pachelbel’s Canon In D.

Nicole’s bridesmaids wore white lace gowns from Lover.

The newlyweds and their bridal party headed to The Den at The Atlantic for photographs after the ceremony.

Of their photographer, Nicole remarks, “Joseph Koprek has been used on many occasions at our family and friends’ weddings. I wouldn’t have looked elsewhere- he is creative and captures true moments. Your album is unique and the pictures captured are like no one elses. His passion for his work is seen throughout the day and he helps guide your day ensuring it is smooth and fun!”

Nicole and Rob chose rooftop venue Luminare  for their reception celebrations. Nicole remembering, “Amazing! Jocelyn was so hopeful in organising the event and very flexible. She ensured everything ran smoothly on the night. I picked the venue as I loved that it had a view and that is was a great blank canvas that I could worth with – it was my type style, chic modern and the furniture provided, was what I would like in my own home.”

Splendid Servings created a three tier wedding cake for the couple, while Flower Flower created the all white floral arrangements. Guests received Voluspa Candles as wedding favors.

Joseph Ottobre created the wedding stationery suite for the couple Nicole telling, “I explained to Joseph I wanted to use a design on a feature in the wall at Luminare. He captured a design and created a logo that was used throughout all of our stationery. He was very easy to work with and his ideas never needed refining. I had pictures of our grandparents deceased and alive as they play a special role in both of our lives. Our parents were also featured in frames at their weddings – without their support we couldn’t have had such a beautiful wedding.”

“I created my own open air photobooth using the ipad. I set up two apps an Instagram account and purchased an app which would countdown and take a photo. This worked out great and guests added their own photos to the Instagram account throughout the day and night.”

Of their first dance, Nicole remembers, “We found it hard to pick one song. Truly Madly Deeply by Savage Garden is an old school classic that has words appropriate for our relationship. Shine Bright Like A Diamond was Rob’s choice so we played it after our first dance – when I asked him why he wanted it – he said I am his shining diamond.”

Andrew Panella shot the wedding film for the couple. Nicole says, “Get a videographer! I was questioning whether I should and I am so glad I did as the day just goes too fast!!!! Andrew Panella is very creative and ensures your video is a snapshot of your day! It is the type of video everyone wants to watch – its not a 10 hour film everyone dreads to be put through!”

Congratulations Nicole and Rob! Thank you for sharing your day with us! Thank you to Joseph Koprek for sharing today’s beautiful wedding photographs!
